No heating in room when complained actually had a downgrade given no offer of compensation until I pushed the point with a manager in the morning

The building and reception looked good. The check in was good with friendly and efficient staff. The room unfortunately was freezing cold on arrival and the radiator was not working. The noisy air-con unit was hard to get working with no instructions. When I finally got it working it only pushed out lukewarm air. There was an additional electric radiator which I plugged in and set at full heat. The room did not warm up was cold all night.

We really liked the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, pool facilities were nice and breakfasts were lovely. The only disappointing aspect was that we only had hot water in our room for one night and one morning, the rest of the time it was lukewarm at best.

Excellent stay

Super friendly staff. Easy check in/out experience. Restaurant and breakfast was lovely. Would just have liked the water temperature to be able to get a bit warmer!

Hotel in general good, but let down a little by cleanliness in the room and specifically mould around the window frame behind the net curtains

Wonderful Christmas experience with the family

Average, not deserving of it’s 4 star status. Bar food very overpriced - £35 for Caesar salad/chips/glass of wine. £25 extra charge for a small dog. Room unbearably hot, had to sleep with the window ajar (in December). Positives - not many - good location for onward travel.

Good swimming pool and spacious room

It was a lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast. The floors were quite creaky so we were kept awake by the occupants in the room above walking around.

Hotel and facilities were great during my stay and will definitely be back.

This is the second time we've stayed here and can't fault it. Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The spa area is lovely, sauna is hot and we really appreciate the child-free periods in the pool for some peace and quiet. Well definitely be back.
