Position Optimal in a way. A few hundred meters from the very nice town of Sant' Angelo. However, it is quiet here, the rooms at the front of the hotel have a beautiful view of the bay There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, and there is also a parking lot nearby. Hotel By local standards (from what we saw) it is rather a better hotel. I already mentioned the very convenient location, the hotel is clean, the equipment is quite decent. In the room we had a large modern TV, plenty of storage space, a fridge, even a small kitchen. The two hotel swimming pools are absolutely brilliant. The outside, where you can also swim, is on a large, comfortable terrace (on which there is also a grill, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available). This pool has pleasantly warm thermal mineral water. The indoor pool is so perfect for relax that we even canceled a visit to the thermal baths because of it. Why to pay for a spa when we have it for free here? The pool also has thermal mineral water. On request, you can turn on the supply of thermal water, which has a good 90°C. The pool is thus perfectly heated in 20 minutes. Then just turn on the hot tub and relax completely. Service Tony and his father Pepe took turns looking after us at the hotel. Both of them created an absolutely perfect atmosphere of a family hotel. Very willing, accommodating, communication in English without major problems. Anything we needed - we just had to mention it and they arranged everything willingly and quickly. In addition, we received recommendations for businesses (restaurants, spa) that are run by their acquaintances and where we have a 15% discount as guests of this hotel. The other staff also worked discreetly and reliably - after each of our returns it was cleaned, everything was replenished, there was never the slightest problem. Catering The hotel has a relatively large dining room. However, we arrived in the off-season, so we only had breakfast here. I don't know if there is a restaurant here, at least in season. Breakfast is typical Italian home-made - several kinds of excellent homemade cakes to choose from, but only a minimum of salty dishes. However, when we directly asked for something, it was already at breakfast the next day. So I assume that they would certainly meet the requirement for ham and eggs. Conclusion Great location. Compared to other places in Ischia, S Angelo is a very clean, decently equipped and quiet place. Great service and a very pleasant, homey atmosphere. Solid facilities, clean, great pools. We only had one visit to Ischia planned, but I'm starting to think we'll be back someday. And if so, then to this hotel.

What a lovely view from our bedroom balcony 😍 we stayed here for three nights and had a lovely experience here. I was happy we stayed here, as it is close enough to the city centre, but also super close to the bus stop, which allows you to explore the island easily. There is also a small but lovely beach at 3 minutes walking from the hotel. The hotel hosts were the best, they had plenty of suggestions for food and activities. Another highlight was the breakfast, prepared by the owner’s father. The freshly baked crostata was to die for! They were very welcoming and kind, I would happily come here again!

It's rare to feel perfectly at home while so far from it, and that's exactly what this charming family-run hotel achieves. From the minute you walk through the doors, you are greeted with the radiant warmth and enthusiasm of the host. Our room was spacious, and though the decor was somewhat out of fashion, the view from the balcony was positively breathtaking. The hotel offers a hearty breakfast of fruit and pastries baked by Nonno himself (he deserves a medal for his various crostatas). We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would certainly return in a heartbeat.

The view from the sea side room is beautiful! Breakfast served by Giovanni is very nice, he bakes himself in the night cornetti e torte what is fantastic. Place is about 15 min walk from St Angelo - which is quite expensive. No markets nearby what is bad. Would be very nice if you could get some food at the hotel during the day. Hotel has a termal swiming pool, what is GREAT! You can spend time there from 8 am till 20 pm and enjoy great water.

My friend and I decided to spend part of our vacation in Sant'Angelo, and we luckily found Hotel Residence Sant'Angelo. I've traveled extensively in Italy, and I find that the hospitality on Ischia is unmatched in quality. Hotel Sant'Angelo was no exception! We met Giuseppe and Sanni, the father and son proprietors of the hotel. Each night, Giuseppe baked delicious homemade treats for the morning. We enjoyed a cake made with chocolate and Ischian citrus (one with orange, one with lemon) as well as a delicious Nutella + jam crostata. Our room was not only clean, it was cleaned and tidied daily, with a very comfortable (impossible to find in Italy) mattress. Giuseppe greeted us each evening to chat and to ask us about our night out, sharing his life story and asking about ours (and always reminding us how wonderful our energies were and beautiful we looked :) ) and in the morning with a table next to the incredible view for breakfast. Sanni helped us navigate to find beach parties, and wine, and offered his local contacts as needed. Both gave us their personal phone numbers and responded quickly. I speak some Italian, which made communication easier, but Sanni does speak English as well. I'd come back in an instant! We didn't take advantage of the pool, as our time there was short, but would come back in an instant to check it out!
