Unusual early check out time (10:30) that caught a lot of hotel guests off guard. Rude enforcing by obnoxiously knocking at guest rooms of people not being aware of the check out time.

Parking charge isn’t clear because there seemed to be no street parking so the 18 euros is unavoidable. Also expected a fitness room on-site but it’s a 10min walk outside. Rooms are good. Food quality was great.

The Kasino is a definite 4 star hotel, with superb staff and unmatchable facilities. We were however surprised that the dining room was closed on Sunday. In particular, as nearby Leverkusen had limited dining. Overall though, it's an amazing hotel, and an excellent overnight halt

The property had an overbooking so the same evening I was told that they could not accomodate me. Expedia relocated me and found me an alternative hotel very quickly and saved my night. But the staff at the hotel wasn't helpful at all.

Kasino is always very welcoming and the service always excellent. They could update and broaden their food offerings and availability to accommodate a broader clientele. I get tired of eating there after a day or two and there is nothing else nearby.

Historic building, and very comfortable stay. Very good breakfast. Nice restaurant downstairs for dinner, although a bit pricey.

The hotel was ok however needs overhauling, one of the restaurants was like school dinners with everybody from local businesses using it as a canteen, and the other was mediocre and expensive with a limited menu, would not stay again.

Had a single bed, instead of a double. Breakfast was average. WiFi is awful - 1mb connection. Otherwise great hotel with friendly staff and a good restaurant for evening meals

Well known place, I was there 2 years before in the city I grow up in the 80th. There are some changes which are OK but can be better, parking meanwhile is 18€ per day and the house keeping will be effected by an outsourcing company. Staff in general (with one exception) is very friendly and helpful. The own restaurant in basement "Der Löwe" has a great service and a traditional selection of food. Friendly atmosphere and nice style. Rooms has a good size and equipped with all needed things. My suggestion maybe to offer also coffee maker. Breakfast offers a good selection of everything and the service will help you as much as you need. Thanks for hosting and see you again next time.

This hotel is in the perfect location, right next to the cathedral, train station, and several great restaurants. The hotel is very well maintained but the rooms are showing their age except for the all marble bathrooms. It is like walking back in time - when only the rich traveled. The breakfast buffet even had champaign.

I stayed for a business trip 1 night, and because it was near to my meeting I booked this hotel. The hotel was very nice, I was given a large room/suite, huge bedroom with large desk which was more than I needed, however it had just a single bed in it, looked tiny in that huge room surely they could have just put in a double. The room was under the roof top floor very nice but hot, the aircon I don;t think worked. But you could open the window wide which was good, however then I had the smell from the kitchen in the morning! There are no restaurants nearby other than the hotel's own which has a very limited menu, french style, you have to take the bus or taxi.

I am a picky traveler -- I often change rooms if I don't like the first one. I had to do this after checking in at the Kasino because the front desk was incorrect that my (first) room had a bathtub. They were able to give me a different room. I'm not taking off points for this as the desk person walked with me to the second room to make sure it met my approval. It felt like she was going the extra mile (or kilometer, haha) in customer service. I really liked the second room! It was charming, comfortable, and had a thoughtful design. The only bad experience at this hotel: when I placed my room service order for dinner that night, they didn't handle my gluten-free request well. Communication was scrambled and they gave me a dish with flour (gluten) in it. They called me after delivery to give me warning and correct the situation (which was good). But I was hungry and exhausted after an overseas flight plus train to Leverkusen, and would have been better for the mistake to not happen in the first place. Anyway, overall I recommend this hotel and the staff was very friendly, just a heads-up about room service.

It is tailored for people who work for Bayer- so it was great for me: Close proximity, nice room size, great breakfast so altogether, an ideal option for those of us who work for Bayer.
