The staff are amazing xxx

One of the better hotels I have stayed in staff were always polite and helpful.

Central & convenient. Room suited my mobility needs. Staff v pleasant & helpful.. However, room needs redecorating, looking rather shabby. Mark Enough hanging & drawer space. I felt that a shelf is actually needed in the bathroom for towels & sponge bags etc.

Very close to the theatre where we went before staying at the hotel.

Hand sanitzer boxes empty. Limited choice of hot drinks at breakfast, ie. Filter coffee or traditional tea only. No tongs to pick up bread to put in the toaster, resulting in potential contamination of others slices from people’s fingers. No jam/marmalade. Only full fat milk available. Room comfortable, but needed a good clean. Hotel cold, so we needed to wear cardigan or jacket during meals. Nothing that can’t be fixed, but I would expect there to be more care considering the price.

Excellent food, immaculate room, great staff

Nice and quiet with helpful staff. Unfortunately, the first room we were given hadn’t been made up but we were immediately moved to a room opposite. Then our friend said her room had no tea or coffee in it so she had to go to reception and get some, our room however had loads plus three packets of biscuits :)

This hotel is ok for a short stay. It is definitely in need of refurbishment. I wouldn’t rate it as 4 star. The surrounding area was not pleasant. I wouldn’t feel safe walking at night.

The room was perfectly fine, clean and well-appointed—particularly considering its low cost and my last-minute booking. There was a wedding going on, so a bit of noise, but it did not run too late. Alas, the area is not this hotel’s selling point. My view of the steel mill was comical enough that I sent a pic to friends. But the curtains did their job, and it certainly didn’t keep me from getting a good night’s sleep. In short, a very good room, in a decent hotel, in a not-so-great location.

Plenty of storage in room. Food excellent. Staff helpful.

It was convenient. There’s good parking. Staff are helpful. Food is v nice. But some rooms need updating as they’re looking a bit tired. No shelves in bathroom. Pillows are flat & obviously foam & are uncomfy.

We really enoyed our stay, unfortunately the only issue we had was with the bed.. when we paid for a double bed, i wasnt expecting 2 single beds pushed together.. usually that wouldn't bother me, but in this case i could feel the difference in height between the beds, which was so annoying while trying to get comfy.. other from that we had a great night👌

I stopped off at Blanco’s to get some sleep, a shower and some breakfast on my way to work from London. I was really impressed with the hotel, finding it was easy and close enough to the motorway that it was convenient but far away enough that there was no problem with noise. There was ample free parking, I was able to check in at 3am which was handy as I had to travel last minute. The room was a nice big size, Smart TV which was a good size, great amount of storage. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was free and there was a good choice (and I got to have a Peach Melba yoghurt which I didn’t even know existed!). I just wish I was able to stay longer! Oh, and to top it off I was greeted by a beautiful view when I went to the car in the morning! Breathtaking view of the hills, with a beautiful old church infront. Would highly recommend and will be back for another visit in future!

Needs updating furniture worn bedding poor but clean Toilet seat not fixed properly Dusty and mould in bathroom Breakfast average Staff apart from one young chap were matter of fact Floor in bar are sticky Sorry but not worth the money have stayed in better accommodation but cheaper on our uk trip! Worth about fifty quid for night and that’s being generous.

We remember the friendly helpful staff and some lovely meals, would stay there again when in the area.
