I've stayed at the Clarion a few times for business trips and always enjoy it. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the hotel is clean and has nice amenities, and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. It's not in the most convenient of places but the ferry is right nearby and it's easy for taxis to find.

We had a fantastic stay. We were upgraded as it was my fiancée's birthday which was a really nice touch. The room was clean and there was wide variety at breakfast.

Two night business stay. Out of the centre of Gothenburg but easily reachable by bus. Modern hotel, nice rooms, comfy bed, good breakfast.

All aspects of a short business trip ticked. A wonderful hotel with great people.

Hotel is located a bit far from the main city, but there is a free ferry which is a 5 minute walk away. Lots of construction in the area, which makes finding the hotel and parking a maze. Speaking of parking, its probably the most high tech parking garage I have ever seen, you can book it in advance, they email you a link, and it activates the day of check in, just press open door and the garage door opens in a very fancy dual door fashion. Extremely secure and cool ! The rooms are a bit hit or miss. Our room on first stay was on the lower floor, had nice carpet and seemed really new. Second time we got an upper floor room, no carpet and seemed not that clean or new. They also have a great breakfast ! Everyone we met was friendly.

Switched to this hotel and was absolutely glad I did. Right from the entrance I was welcomed and helped by Vanna who was great. Easy check in and was told about all the amenities of the hotel and area. The room was outstanding and very comfortable, maybe the best bed I’ve slept on from any hotel ive stayed at. The restaurant was great and free breakfast was amazing. Front desk was always present and helpful. Great location as it was super easy to get anywhere I wanted to go and felt very safe. I would definitely stay here next time I’m back in Gothenburg.

Clean and comfortable

Clean, convenient, friendly staff. Good breakfast (don’t miss the granola or the ginger shots) and excellent cappuccino machine. Comfortable bed and big, nice pillows. Parking was a bit difficult to find (it’s next to hotel and you have to drive up on sidewalk to enter using the app — pre-paid spot). Enjoyed the gym and sauna/relax room. Mon-Fri there’s a free boat across the street into city center.

i liked the breakfast, guest attendants group, room service, gym room but swimming pool is missing and less option of lunch and dinning food.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and nice room and facilities. Due to lots of road work (at no fault of hotel) it was a bit hard to find (got rerouted). Breakfast was nice. Top floor restaurant closed (had gotten info beforehand) and not a ton of dinner options within walking distance. Kooperativet was fun for lunch.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Clarion Hotel The Pier. Our room was very clean and the beds (our son slept on a sofa bed), very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of options. Free ferry across to central Gothenburg was a bonus. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

The Pier is in a good location if you like it quiet although getting to the city centre is just across the water. Check in and out was friendly and professional. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. The room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast had an excellent and varied choice. Although it was very busy with AC/DC in town the staff coped well and still managed to make everything run smoothly. The only advice I would give is to book your car parking (if you require it) as soon as possible.

Excellent stay there, beautiful staff.

A great (extended) stay. Clean, quiet, and the staff is very nice. They don’t sweat the small stuff. The complimentary breakfast is really good. The location requires a bike or bus into the center but it’s not even an inconvenience. Don’t bother parking in their garage, there’s plenty of safe parking in the surrounding lots.
