This place has potential but the staff lacked urgency, ran out of food, drinks, constantly had to call the butlers for help. There was a seaweed cleanup going on the beach, smell was tough somedays.

my room was clean, and beautiful. the amenities were great- however, nightlife is pretty much nonexistent unless you leave the resort. there’s a sports bar that has a dj at night on weekends, but thats really it- its super tiny in there. the food wasnt good, and you pretty much need a reservation at all the “good” restaurants. the drinks were also not the best… to even get a buzz you need several shots. overall beautiful property though.

Resort was empty and service was so slow as If hundreds of people were here. Dinner reservations were late if any. And drink options definitely lacked. If u think of all inclusive Caribbean vacation piña colada’s and mojitos are my first 2 drink choices but nope for 7 days straight neither were available. Italian restaurant lists about 10 kinds of pizza but nope none available. Cant imagine coming here during busy times.

Well where do I start..i was very disappointed at my stay here at Royalton Chic in Antigua. I thought this was a 5 star resort but soon realized it wasnt. The food was not as good. The only restaurant I liked was the buffet all the other restaurant food was not good to me. Now to the part that really did it for me was during checkout. As we were checking out they informed us that we didnt pay the tax they charge which was $40. I paid that tax when I checked in in cash to the clerk at check in. They didnt have any record of it in their computer. So my guess would be that lady pocketed that money. So happen i had recorded it on my phone that i had paid and I showed the lady at the desk. She went to the back to talk to someone but came back and said well they have to do their own investigation then they would refund it to us on a credit card if they find we did pay. My husband and I were really upset because we had the proof on my phone and we were leaving for the U.S. They called security on us and they were still demanding that we pay that $40. We had the $40 dollars but it was just the principle of the matter we paid it already and they didnt believe us. I left that $40 on the counter and abruptly left. My mistake I didnt get a receipt of that. So anyone who stays there makes sure you get a receipt if you pay that tax in cash. This was very upsetting to me and my husband and I will never stay there again!

The Hotel is really Beautiful but Customer service was poor. The Employees were not nice helpful nor did they. The food was Bland & slim to nothing when you got your Food. My Husband OxTails were Cold @ The Haven Grill who wants to eat cold food. The Buffet was ok they Ran out of a lot of things without any answers. I want go back & I want recommend Royalton Chic to anyone because I don’t want them to experience what we experienced. I understand they are a fairly New Resort but they need to step up to the plate give excellent customer service/Quality Food for All inclusive/have Friendlier Staff that made you feel @ home away from Home. We didn’t get no where near what we paid for & expected. I can Honestly say it was probably #5ppl on the property that Smiled & gave us adequate customer service. The Bartender by Havens Grill/The young lady that invites you while being @ The Pool/The Older House keeping lady & Security Guy. If I could ask for a portion of our Money back I want it. We looked on TikTok & IG etc for reviews about the Hotel they ALL were not Good but we went against the odds & said we would give them a try well the Odds were right. I wish Royalton many Future Blessings but me & my Hubby will Not Return on any Future vacation girls/guys trip or to Refer people to their Resort.

I stayed at this resort with my husband to celebrate our honeymoon and I’d have to say it’s the worst resort I’ve ever been to, ever. We go to at least 3 vacations a year and I haven’t been to a resort that’s so unkept before including other Royalton resorts. Everything had mold on it everything. Walls, indoor and outdoor tables, beach chairs, pool beds, floor and ledge around the pool area literally everything. Our room smelled horrible. Damp, sour, moldy smell and it was like this in most parts of the resort. I had a bad cough most of our stay here because of it. The employees were very nice, pleasant and friendly. I don’t think we had any rude employees at all, which was the one thing I was expecting based off other reviews, not to be staying for 6 nights in a mold infested environment that clearly is a huge health hazard. I’ve stayed at Royalton in other countries and literally it was a night and day difference. I feel robbed.

The resort was okay. It was kept clean and some of the staff were very nice. My issue are as follows slow service we had reservations at 8PM we didn’t get our food until 9:05PM. We went to breakfast at Elements most of our stay and the food was very limited must of the time they were running out of stuff I just come to believe they just never had it to begin with. Some of the staff particularly the pregnant ones weren’t friendly at all. They gave the vibe they didn’t want to be at work. One day the resort didn’t have beach towels when the pool opened so everyone had to wait for towels. Hunters steak house the food was good but the service was extremely slow, Acari had very slow service a lot and f stuff on their menu they didn’t have so your options was limited. They were serving chicken and fried fish for breakfast. My butler Terrol& Shereisse was really nice and made our stay comfortable. This resort wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. Just be prepared for slow service

Beach view was good. Bar was good, food was good and room was clean, but was not equipped with the essentials like a washcloth. Although we asked for washcloths, we didn’t receive any until the next day. Staff need more training on customer service, and greeting the guest.

This resort is well kept and situated, but the dining options were not good. I was served spoilt fruit, raw steak, undercooked rice and the only options for food around the pool are all fried or unhealthy.

The beach view was very nice, that is about the best I can say. The food was good, the coffee shop was the best place in the entire resort the lady that works evenings was great. Drinks were terrible, obviously no training esp by pool. App did not work, had to go to front desk to reserve reservations. Check in was a mess! Unorganized, not friendly and slow. We had multiple issues, like a power outage of just our room, flooding of our entire floor the next day. Power outage I called 2 times to report this an every time was told they would send maintenance, no one came. Eventually we found the breaker box and my husband was able to fix it. We left for breakfast, came back to the room and was locked out due to the door unable to charge with the outage. Someone after 8 hrs from our first call, came to the room and fixed the door. It took them almost 2 hour with us waiting. Next day our room flooded due to storm, understandable with weather but there were no precautions at all. I called the front desk again at 1:30am and did not receive any help until 3:30 in the morning, when someone pounded on our door and told us to pack up they were moving us. Also the entrance way to our doors smelled horrible. We were right by their sewer system is all I could assume. Employees ranged from nice to rude and dismissive. We also heard many times that they were understaffed because the pay was so bad there. I have stayed at Royalton's in the past, this was nothing like the others, BAD.

I requested a preference in room as soon as I booked my reservation and they didn’t care to honor. It. Don’t think I will book with Royalton again. That was the second time that happened. That really ruined my mood and my stay. I was not happen to enter the room on any given day. I mostly stayed outside.

We stayed in a Diamond Club room with the plunge pool. Our butler was Andre and he was very attentive to our needs. I like the butler service but wished the pool was more private. It’s really one long pool connected to the other ground floor rooms so it wasn’t really a personal pool. Nevertheless, it was nice to step from your patio to the pool and not be bothered with a lot of people in the pool with you. I’m not a buffet person so we never try the buffet or the room service, which is 24 hrs. October was the off season which was perfect for us so no crowds. However, that meant not all the restaurants were open every night. The resort rotated what was open and when. We did get to try all the specialty restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed all our meals. The food was very tasty and all of the staff was friendly and genuinely seem concern about you enjoying your stay. I’ve stayed at the Royalton St. Lucia which was a much bigger property but this Antigua location was very nice and I’d recommend it.
