Staff were very helpful and hotel is beautiful. Rooms were spacious and clean. The property had free bikes to explore the town and a free shuttle (that must be booked as they only have one shuttle). Location is quiet and can be easily reached by taking Bus 1 from Locarno.

Cleanest hotel I’ve ever been to. It was relaxing and calm and absolutely perfect. The bathroom was a tiny bit older but clean and fine

Lovely property! Has its uniqueness and charm

The hotel is from the early 1900 and beautiful renovated and has a lot of charm. Their park with large indoor and outdoor pool (connected) is a strong plus. We enjoyed our stay in a deluxe room on the second floor. The room was functional in modern design with a comfortable bed. Our room had a looked connection door and therefore we had to be careful with the TV volume to not disturb our neighbors. Overall, very positive, we will be back.

Great hotel. Went in the winter season so not a lot going on but very beautiful. The spa is excellent and very clean. Close to downtown Ascona and the lake. Great alternative to Locarno. Older hotel but very well maintained. Breakfast was also excellent and included

Lovely hotel with indoor & outdoor pools, spa, fitness centre, mini golf in the large gardens, giant chess set, etc. However, the decor is probably from the 1980s and the interior of the hotel would benefit from modernization. Also, it was impossible to get a light snack after 6pm when the only option was to choose off the a la carte restaurant menu. Not ideal as we’d had a late lunch on the waterfront in nearby Ascona.

A very good hotel at a reasonable price. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the Swiss Alps from the balcony. I enjoyed the best ravioli that I’ve ever tasted here (al fresco). There are many peaceful areas to relax. There’s a good fitness centre and a cold jacuzzi (wish it was warmer). Overall, Bravo!

I liked the hotel - quiet, relaxed. The only complaint is I was bitten by mosquitoes while having dinner outside by the pool. The reception offered me ointment which helped the swelling a lot. I liked the food at dinner - Vitelli tonnato as a starter and grilled branzino over vegetables for entree. The white wine was good too!

Really nice spa facilities. There are some lovely walks in either direction a few hundred metres up the mountainside. Super restaurants in Acona - quint and very peaceful - at least in Feb!

We were pleasantly surprised at just what a beautiful hotel this was and what a calm and soothing atmosphere. There was a particular bartender who had good knowledge of wine and provided excellent service and the staff generally were exceptional. Even though there were quite a few families with children, it was even relaxing by the large pool and we left with a feeling of well-being.

Very pleasant hotel. Nice staff, great outdoor poor, beautiful park, warm indoor pool, sauna, hamman, etc. Everything clean, Swiss quality, bicycles for free to go to Ascona. Negative: No warning via Expedia or website that in the park there will be until 2016 a huge construction site. So if you do not mind to be awaken by construction site noise at 7.00h in the morning, lying at the pool in the sun with view in the park, the mountains and a construction site and its noise, go ahead.

Excellent. Shuttle bus and bikes mean that the slightly longer distance from the Lake doesn't matter.Great breakfasts.

Mooi hotel met een prachtig park en hele mooie wellness. De kamers mogen echt wel gemoderniseerd worden. De prijs is helaas erg hoog, waardoor je al met al toch niet helemaal waar voor je geld krijgt.

Das Hotel ist an einer schönen und ruhigen Lage. Der Empfang ist immer sehr herzlich. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und grundsätzlich sauber. Der kleine Balkon bietet eine gute Sicht auf die grosszügige Gartenanlage und Berge. Der Fitness & Spa war sauber, gepflegt und bietet auch eine tolle Teebar. Der Innenpool ist in die Jahre gekommen und hier fehlt es etwas an der Sauberkeit. Es hat immer und überall genügend Badetücher und auch die kleinen Gäste erhalten Bademantel und Schuhe. Kulinarisch ist es immer top und der Service sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist grosszügig vom Angebot. Leider öffnet der SPA erst um 11 Uhr wenn check-out Zeit ist. So kann man dies bei 1 Übernachtung nur am Anreisetag geniessen.
