Zoo Negara Opening Hours

The zoo is open daily from 9am to 5pm. When visiting, don't miss the Giant Panda Conservation Centre, but remember to arrive before 4.30pm on weekdays or 5.30pm on weekends.

If you want to see amazing animal shows, you can catch the various animal shows at 11am and 3pm from Saturday to Thursday. On Fridays, the show starts a little later at 3.30pm.

If you want to take the kids on an adventure, try taking them to feed some of the animals! Feeding sessions at Children's World are available on weekends and public holidays from 12.00pm to 1.00pm. If you love deer, come to the Javanese Deer feeding session from 2pm to 3pm.

They have a unique way of walking, with their feet facing inwards, and have cute little canines poking out between their lips.

5. Children's World

If you're visiting with children, don't miss the Children's World section. Here, children can play freely amongst friendly animals such as goats, deer, turtles, rabbits and miniature horses. They can also explore mini caves and see interesting historical objects. Tip: If you are visiting on a weekend or holiday, try to come between 12.00-13.00 to see the animals being fed.

6. Malaysian Elephants

Zoo Negara is a great place to see some amazing animals. Among them are three Malaysian elephants named Teriang, Siti, and Sibol. These elephants are from Pahang and are very popular with visitors. You can visit their exhibits and even feed them sugar cane or bananas.

1. By Car

To reach Zoo Negara by car, you can follow Lebuh Ampang, Jln Ampang, Jalan Munshi Abdullah and Jalan Raja Abdullah until you reach E12 at Chow Kit. After that, continue your journey on E12 and Middle Ring Rd 2/Route 28 to Jalan Taman Zooview in Ampang. Take the Route 28 exit from Middle Ring Rd 2/Route 28 and turn left onto Zooview Park Road. You can park at Entrance B of KL Zoo Negara.

2. By Bus

To reach Zoo Negara by bus, take the Rapid KL 253 or 220. Both buses will drop you right at the zoo entrance. Look out for the bus stop numbered Aj491.

3. By Train

To reach Kebun Binatang Negara by train, you can either take the LRT or MRT. After that, get off at Wangsa Maju LRT Station on the Kelana Jaya Line, then take a taxi to the zoo entrance.
