Preah Sihanouk Province, also known as Sihanoukville, is a province located at the tip of Cambodia's southwestern peninsula, close to the Gulf of Thailand. The province is famous for its white sand beaches, tropical islands and mangrove forests in Ream National Park.

It is also a port city with a deep sea. The city center is constantly evolving, and has raised land. Originally, the city was called Kampong Som. Later, the city was renamed after its founder, King Norodom Sihanouk, who played an important role in its development.

Preah Sihanouk is divided into four main districts that offer different charms. Sihanoukville Municipality, formerly known as Mittapheap District, is the urban center of the province with a bustling beach and harbor. Here, travelers can enjoy the serenity of Serendipity Beach and learn about the city's history around Wat Krom.

There is also the Royal Railway transportation option from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville with a distance of 6.5 hours.
