No matter which set menu you decide on, be prepared for a feast fit for your senses! The course meals at Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant are perfect as an accompaniment to any family celebration.
We especially enjoyed the Barbecue Roast Duck & Chicken, sure to be a hit amongst all Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant guests. Roasted to perfection, the tender duck meat with its layer of fat and crispy skin was a delight with every bite. The dish includes a small serving of a refreshing jellyfish salad, tossed with a sesame dressing.
Another signature dish we particularly enjoyed was the Steamed Live Dragon Garoupa with Superior Soy Sauce, said by Chef Michael to be a long-running favorite amongst Malaysians. After trying it ourselves, we’re happy to say that we can attest to the hype —the fresh sweetness of the fish was evident in its firm texture. Combined with fresh coriander and the sweet and salty flavors of the soy sauce, we were left wanting for more.
Of course, what’s a feast without dessert? Be sure to try the handmade “Nian Gao” with Coconut Flakes, which has a chewy texture reminiscent of mochi. We felt that the not overly sweet flavor served as just the right finish to the entire meal.
