1. Min Jiang

Established in 1982, Min Jiang is a Chinese restaurant serving Cantonese and Sichuan dishes, including a classic dim sum pushcart service which is a rare sight in Chinese restaurant these days. The delicacy of its food has never failed after all these years. Currently, Min Jiang has undergone a renovation by offering a sleeker and brighter environment.

The food menu at Min Jiang has also been updated to celebrate the restaurant's new chapter. There are dim sum, steamed pumpkin balls, and homemade squid tofu with XO sauce which are very popular in Hong Kong and China. You can also taste the latest offerings, such as deep-fried stuffed dough sticks filled with shredded abalone and enoki mushroom or roasted chicken skin with shrimp paste in sesame seed pockets.

Summer Pavilion is led by chef Cheung Siu Kong. Now it is the only Chinese hotel restaurant to receive a star in the Michelin Guide Singapore 2016. Set within a modern Chinese garden, Summer Pavilion offers an intimate and authentic Cantonese dining experience. Vibrant hand-painted tableware from Summer Pavilion brings out the summer colours.

Savour their signature Poached Rice with Lobster. Summer Pavilion also serves the delectable food such as traditional dim sum dishes that include steamed dumplings and deep-fried Tari during lunch hour.

3. Yi by Jereme Leung

Singaporean chef Jereme Leung wants to present the rich heritage of regional Chinese cuisines because those are rarely seen outside of China. Also, he wants to present his own expression of Chinese cuisine to Singapore after travelling the world for more than a decade.

The word “Yi” comes from the Chinese language which means art. Start with a glass of wine or champagne at Yi’s intimate cocktail bar, designed like a living room that allows patrons to relax and indulge while they enjoy Sichuan Spicy Chicken and Luncheon Meat or Sichuan Spiced Crispy Fish Skin, Chef Jereme’s signature drinking snacks.

4. Yellow Pot

Located at the stunning and award-winning Duxton Reserve hotel, Yellow Pot is a modern Chinese restaurant that applies the clean eating philosophy adopted at The Garcha Group. Chef Sebastian Goh is not using MSG additives or artificial flavourings here.

Roast duck is the most popular dish at Yellow Pot. The tasteful roast duck marinated for two days with a fermented bean curd paste, then roasted over hickory wood. You can taste the sweet and sour eggplant, where eggplant is braised and coated with a yummy homemade sauce of hot bean paste, honey, vinegar, and Nanyang soya sauce.
