Okay, back to the article…

As the capital and one of the nine regions in England, London grew as an important metropolitan city for the country.

Its strategic location at the Thames River was acknowledged historically, considering the major settlement in London by the Romans dated as early as 43 CE and later on for the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings.

Tourism is among the city's major economies, as more than 65 million tourists were recorded to visit London in 2015 alone.

Why is London one the best tourist destinations in the world?

They have four of the World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London, the Palace of Westminster, the Greenwich settlement, and the Kew Gardens.

Not only that, London has some of the best recreational parks out there such as Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Victoria Park.

And who couldn’t forget the magnificent football team London has given birth to? Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United, as well as professional rugby clubs such as the London Broncos and the London Skolars.

London pretty much won the Oscar for “All-In-One-Awesomeness” of the whole century.
