Great location, walkable to all shops and restaurants. Beautiful green lookout over park from room which was nice and spacious.

The building is a bit old and the furniture and fittings a bit old-fashioned, however it is well maintained. Red-bellied parrots were flying around the balcony. The place is quiet, a short walk to the places to eat.

Check in was smooth enough. Rooms decent sized but not as clean as expected. Room was not serviced during 2 night stay, smoke from outside other rooms wafted into Room so had to keep door closed. Beds hard. But in a good position and very central so can walk easily to anything in bright.

People in neighbouring room were noisy till after midnight on the first night. After a request to them, they were quiet in the following nights. They also smoked on the back verandah frequently which meant l couldn't leave my sliding door open for fresh air and ambience. When l did, the room would quickly be filled with smoke.

It is the first mote/hotel anywhere in the world that I have been in that there has not been a service folder in the room. They had a TV system, that if you are old school like us was difficult to use. The office only worked between 2pm & 6pm, so if you needed anything like more coffee sachettes, too bad. They had a new coffee pod machine which did not heat up. If you needed the room cleaned there wasn't even a door hanger to let them know..A lot of dead pot plants did not add to the decor either.

I phoned to say I was running late & would arrive a few mins after 6pm (latest check-in) & owner was so kind and waited. Cosy, heater, electric blanket & extra blankets. Perfect for cooler weather. Toaster, kettle & fridge. I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Only thing (&I'm not sure anything can be done as it might be a general bright thing) but the tap water tasted like dirt. I had to buy bottled water for my stay.

This place is in a good location but it has some shortfalls. Equipment not working and cleaning issues. We found a thick layer of dust on the base of the spa. Cleaned this then filled the spa and found it did not work. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was also not working. I tried to get the TV to work but the instructions were for an older set up and did not work. Too late to call reception as they are only open until 6pm. On a good note , the heater worked well, the bed was ok and only a very short walk into town area. We would not recommend this place nor stay here again. Plenty of other options in town
