Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains - MGallery Collection

From tree tops climbing to ice skating, movie theatre to the gorgeous gardens, everything a family wants is at the property. In the middle of the blue mountains we had a fun and relaxing stay. It is a little outdated compared to a city hotel but this resort is perfect for a rural town. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place to stay

Staff went above and beyond. Restaurants were absolutely perfect. The room was clean and well kept. The resort is definitely a favourite with families so if you're looking for a couples getaway this MIGHT not be for you. I went with my partner and we still had a blast, but having parents in the spa with their kids splashing around wasn't exactly relaxing. Will definitely be coming back with my kids though!

This is a beautiful property with everything you need for a family stay. I would say there are a lot of young children there.

Good place for family Could do with some updating on the property but generally a good place to go. It even has an ice rink. Shame they dont have pony rides for the kids would have been fantastic

The hotel is rundown and in need of a renovation. Expensive for what it is. Pool area was very dirty and pool was peeling all around and tiles on sides very dirty. Nobody was monitoring the area and with limited seating on a hot day it’s not very fair when people reserve pool chairs and arrive 2 hours later to their reserved spot. staff should monitor this better. would be a beautiful outdoor area if fixed up a bit. service was good and great location with an amazing day spa. Indoor fireplace area would be beautiful during winter . Buffet breakfast was also disappointing. Eggs tasted like the hospital made them and waffles were straight out of the packet from coles.

Property well located with ample parking.

A lot of flys and bugs around. The open lawn area and the golf course is full bird poo. It’s smelly and very unhygienic

Lots of children’s activities on offer although disappointed there were no ponies in stable and inflatable play area was not inflated

We have been coming to The Fairmont the past 10 odd years and have always enjoyed our short staycations; however, this one was disappointing. Limited dining options and availability. Have to pay for the children's activities. The ambience and vibe was no longer there. Sad to have to say the above things.

Noisy children in hallway outside our room. Cafe noisy and dirty. More suitable for families with young children.

The C.S.is helpful

The resort has so many facilities for all ages from indoor/outdoor pools to arcades, tennis, gym etc Leura shops are only 5min drive from the resort. Breakfast and coffee was delicious. Everything was amazing. The sound proofing is a little on the thin side but other than that, everything was to our expectation.

Chronological order - from the perspective of first time guest: - 1. entry stairs form lower level; parking were dirty 2. The presumably once magnificent parquetry floors in the reception and lift lobby areas hadn't been refionished since teh original construction. 3. Fish tank glass very dirty in reception. 4. Rooms gave nothing away - not even a free paper copy menu. 5, Resturant staff friendly to the point of being over familiar ie. when overhearing a conversation saying 'I probably came at the wrong moment. 6. Meals in main restuarant were intended to impress - but didn't pull it off - bottom shelf Wollworths asparagus was dry and not fresh. Waiting staff were over familiar and I'm a friendly guy! 7. Service crew swore as they departed the lift in earshot of my wife. 8. Ashtrays in under the main reception portico were overflowing and had not been cleaned. 9. Bath in room 240 was not clean. 10. Room 240 vanity basin had a crack right though the basin - long term issu as the crack was stained. Frankly, a pretty disappointing stay - I should have kept on driving. Michael

We couldn’t stay long as our child was sick but overall it was a great place to go with young children.

We booked dinner at golf club and was treated terrible. Chef shouted out loud so i could hear if he doesn't like the menu tell him to pick something else or eat elsewhere when i asked to swap mash and onion rings to chips only. Crazy someone could think thats ok. Obviously we never stayed and left. Also pool is very dated, bit dirty, broken tiles around which for a supposed 4☆ is crazy. Ok time for a night which we stayed but doubt I'd come stay again after complaint was pretty much ignored by management.

Rooms (221 & 219) were large and clean. Bedding was comfortable and enjoyed a good couple of nights sleep. Coffee & Food was excellent although pricey (this is typical in any Accor facility to offset their Accor Club dining discounts). Staff were excellent (long suffering)from front of house to restaurant and housekeeping. Be prepared for pandemonium during the weekend with kids and tired or entitled parents. Huge range of activites (indoor/outdoor pools, taboggan, ice rink, gym, kids train etc) both at the hotel and nearby. Resort showing some signs of getting tired but overall still a good 4 star standard.
