Kingsgrove Hotel

I understand that work is being done on accomodation - but @7.30 am male voices and manhole opened and I can see torchlight in the roof space above my room . It was unnerving . I spoke to 2 workman. And they helped close manhole.

I liked the hotel and would stay there again if i know they will not be having construction in a room just down from me. I was woken up b4 7am to hammering saws and impact drivers. The only notice i got about this was a sign on the door to the room when i arrived. I was not impressed.

Near the train station. Comfortable bed. Clean towels everyday. Will recommend.

Room very clean and nice.

The room looked newly renovated and was clean. However, it was way smaller than shown on the photos. With two suitcases and two small carry-on trolleys there was barely any room left to move around.

Not fully satisfied

Nice large room, and very close to public transport. Very quiet for hotel accommodation. Will be back!

Check in and check out time i think bad because 2 pm check in and 10 am checkout very poor timing i would say

Great value for money. Parking a bit hit and miss due competing with pub clientelle. A toaster in room would be nice.

We stayed here for 3 nights having just arrived from the UK. Thankfully we arrived on a Saturday night so the construction work (which we only found out about from a note on our room door) did not disturb a much needed lie in. When it wasn't Sunday though the builders turned up and were banging and drilling, on the Monday from about 6am and 5am on the Tuesday. It is absolutely not on to take bookings (or not inform preexisting bookings) about this significant disruption. We appreciate places need to have work done but it was so loud and so early! We had a couple of cleanliness issues with the room and the staff were magnificent in dealing with it promptly. They were friendly and could not be more obliging for our whole stay. The issue with construction is not the staffs fault and we feel bad leaving a 3 star review when the staff and location are absolutely 5 star. I think this place has ambitions and I hope once the construction is finished they do extremely well but sadly the amount of disruption was too much for us to ignore in this review. Check it is finished before you book!

Positive: close to transit, although the train station is skipped by express train. Staff are friendly, helpful and available late at night. Restaurants & supermarket across the street. Supplied toiletries were good. Bed, linens and pillows were comfortable. Adequate closet space to store luggage and spread out. Although it's right by the train station, it's still a struggle to get your luggage to and from the hotel. There are stairs at the hotel entrance as well, and you have to pass by the smoking section. There is no secure area to store your luggage. Cleaning wasn't good, there were dried stains on the toilet seat. Also the corners of the shower weren't cleaned. The shower unit style means the floor will get drenched. The window opened to the roof of the building which meant I saw the construction workers walking around outside my window. So I had to keep the blinds down all the time.

We got to the hotel before check in time of 2pm. The staff were so friendly made me a coffee and my partner had a beer while we waited. Room up flight of steps, with no lift. Room, spotless, bed very comfortable Will returning!

Excellent service , they had notices up about the noise which was great . Walking distance to train , direct to city . Amazing time , would definitely stay again

Excellent location , 4min walk to train station and easy connection to airport

Clean room. But they decided to start renovating at 6am and nobody could sleep. I got some catch up sleep at 9am and cleaning sevice tried to burst through my door at 10am sharp, even though I had another hour to checkout apparently. I am exhausted for work meetings today as a result.
