Not what I had expected being a give star hotel

This hotel is not 5 star. It was well overpriced and does not compare to 4 or 5 star hotels I have stayed at. The food was average and the service was non existent. I paid almost £100 for a room service meal that was at best cafe standard. Then I asked for some tea bags for the room and the girl in the restaurant area said she would need to speak to her manager as they would need to charge for the tea bags. I only wanted 4 bags from the breakfast dining area. The tea bags were then sent to my room 8 hours later! Severely over priced hotel. I would not recommend it. It is a 3 star at best.

Loud ringing in the room all night and also had a bug crawl across the floor, complained about it and they said I could have free breakfast as a resolution…

Excellent facilities, beautiful views, friendly service

We were a level client and was immediately given a room with the view of a building site. No aircon and a broken shower door and no phone working. I was moved to a better room. No character. Slow and unmotivated staff. The rooftop lounge could be made into a nice place. Could be. It has the Charme of a parking garage.

The front desk wasn’t friendly

The hotel has a lot of facilities that there are not in use that making it boring. Breakfast too expensive. Late check out fee super expensive

We didn't expect such a bad performance from a Melia 5 stars. When arriving realized that the AC doesn't go down under 21 Celsius and that there was no way to leave the fan on, it worked just in auto. Called the reception and nobody answered so decide to go downstairs. Once I told them, they said that they were taking care of some guest and couldn't answer, also that the maintenance guy left at 6:00 Pm it was 6:05 therefore needed to wait to the next day. Next day we went to Bratislava so when came back was too late to ask but nothing was fixed. 3rd day again went downstairs and they offered me to change our room, the other room was the same, no way to have keep the fan on, crazy. I swept all those 2 nights. So the guy told me he will send me a fan and that last night was "ok". The cherry on the cake was when I asked for a late check out and Kristina told me no prob, but when I went to do the check out, there was a line and no way to drop the keys, so when I asked her if I could just leave them, she gave me an attitude and took the keys in a bad manner. Then my daughter said that she was told by her, when we coming back that the late check out is going to be $60, I couldn’t believe it so I called the supervisor, Ahmed from the restaurant since it was the one that shows up and went downstairs with him, and yes she had charged me the $60 per room. Long story short, the lady next to her(looks like the boss) told me to forget it, that they won’t charge me anything. I really do

Have been using this hotel for over a decade. The quality of the services, from check-in to breakfast / bar / lounge, seems deteriorating, unfortunately. There is a lack of ownership and care for the guests. Hope they will be able to improve.

AC wasn’t working. And the blinds fell off

The Melia is a fine establishment with much to offer its guests. I highly recommend a package with The Level access. The location in Donau City provides a nice reprieve from the business of the inner city. Although there are few points of interest around the hotel, there is easy access to transportation.

bad service

Well, nothing like a five star property. Underwhelming experience for the 4 of us...no difference in opinions. The cleaning crew did not clean the room a day before check out. Small rooms, shower area large with black all around...not enough light for a bathroom! We had a hard time getting ready for the day. Will not recommend to anyone or stay here again.

Nothing like a five star rating this property displays. It 3 or maybe 3.5 at most. No one came to clean the room on the day before check out. The rooms are small, shower area is large and wasted. Very dim lights in the bathroom. There was no mirror in the room or the passage. Not a very satisfying experience.
