When we arrived there was quite a bit of drywall and dust on the hallway floor but it was cleaned up quite nicely

--Mattress like sleeping on a rock that's covered with a couple of thin blankets; --Instead of a box spring or a platform like every other mattress I've ever seen or laid upon, the mattress is supported by bizarre structure made of what appear to be plumbing pipes; --Rather than cotton sheets like at every other Comfort Inn of the dozens in which I've stayed, the one in Surrey uses polyester sheets and a polyester coverlet over the thin, compressed duvet; --Although I set the Climate Control on FAN, HIGH, CONSTANT, OUTSIDE (which I interpreted as meaning that the air would be drawn in from outside) and the temperature outside was cold enough to be comfortable wearing a turtleneck, wool sweater, & winter coat, for some reason HEAT would automatically turn on in the middle of the night and warm the room to at least 75 degrees fahrenheit/23.889 Celsius, if not higher, which meant I would awaken in a full sweat and have great difficulty returning to sleep; --Unlike every other Choice hotel I've stayed in, the one in Surrey refused to give me a Late Check-Out, although I had stayed for 5 nights. The clerk informed me that I would be charged an hourly fee for each of the 1st 3 hours and then charged a full night's rate for any additional time after that.

We loved the vicinity because the arena for the hockey tournament was only a two minute walk

On par with similar hotels but expensive for November and for the hotel quality. I did appreciate staff responsiveness to a family crisis. They successfully woke my family member when I could not reach them and on my request phoned me to tell me that they’d successfully done so.

It was very perfect stay there for three night. But it was a little far from the sightseeing in Vancouver. Overall awesome.

Staff is not helping out other customers to operate the waffle machine, while she helps out the other customer only. Choosing certain customer to help out is definitely not good. Staff are not friendly.
