The property is clean and conveniently located in the Chinese town. Parking is easy but there is a 30 daily charge for it. Notre dame cathedral is really close at 5 7 blocks away. Breakfast is great with many options to choose from.

Hotel is good but need few improvements, bed sheets and mattress covers had a spill from before. Toilet ventilation wasn’t efficient at all. Due to thin walls, I didn’t want to but I could hear my neighbours. The only best thing was breakfast. I would give 6/10.

The rooms were smelling specially the washrooms. I was not sure if it was coming from water or anything else but it was really bad. There were no exhausts. Other than that it was good.

The Hampton Inn by Hilton was a great property however, even after requesting basic room service (twice), housekeeping staff only dropped off towels and did no clean up on the floor (as requested on checkin as it was dirty prior to arrival) or turndown of bed. Staff were polite but obvious that they were busy, understaffed and some perhaps newer staff training so unsure why housekeeping was not fully met (though we tipped cash which was gone when we returned even though the room was not cleaned up). The breakfast buffet was good (but orange juice was limited or unavailable most days) and it was nice that hot drinks such as coffee/tea were available 24/7. Location was very good, literally across the street from Chinatown and walking distance to Old Montreal. Would we stay again? Sure but we will also consider other options in the area.

If you want to stay somewhere affordable that is within walking distance to Old Montreal this is a good option. For some reason I thought we would be able to walk to St. Catherine St but we had to Uber. Still not a bad location and we explored more of Old Montreal. Free breakfast buffet was OK. Parking was expensive but we had in and out privileges. Overall good experience.

My wife and I visited in December 2024 for 3 nights. Hampton Inn is located just inside the gates of Chinatown, right near the Old Village. So it’s a great spot to access the Old Village, Notre Dame Basilica, and downtown. The room price was also very good compared to other similar properties. The room charge was just under $140 per night, so it came to about $480 for 3 nights after all the taxes. Parking is $30 additional (Canadian dollars) per night, which is on par with other hotels in Montreal. One drawback is you have to ask if you want your bed made/room neatened daily. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. It had a mini fridge and a small coffee maker with a few complimentary coffees and teas. The daily breakfast was free and was pretty good. They have a do it yourself waffle maker, cereal, eggs, sausage links, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea and juice. But breakfast gets crowded, especially on weekends! If you get there after 8:30am, you may need to wait a bit to find an open table. There are plenty of noodle restaurants and other Asian food places nearby, and many of them are much less expensive than other sit down restaurants in Montreal. So if you like Asian food, this hotel has a bunch of options in the neighborhood. All in all, we had a great stay at a good price. Pros: Location, renovated building, restaurants, and price. Cons: Busy breakfast and no daily room cleaning/ bed making service. We will definitely consider coming back!

The bedroom was not clean. We asked for shampoo and conditioner and never came. I had to leave and buy one. The floor in the bedroom was never cleaned during the four days of our stay. Breakfast is good, full, and 9:30 sharp they close everything and take food away in a hurry so, if you need an extra butter you'd better run.

The property is good and is walkable distance from Chinatown and the metro, but we had the change rooms 3 times because the fridge and TV weren’t working.

There should be at least two chairs in the room. The breakfast was good but not enough staff to replenish the food. Other than that, the room was great and the hotel is in a good location.

The hotel has a great location near China town. Be prepared for mayhem at breakfast time: either no tables available, or no utensils, or no food… Other than that, it is your typical Hampton Inn stay.
