I'm always happy to stay at this motel. The price is much better than neighboring motels (although it has gone up since the last time) The rooms are clean, bedding is good, parking is good, for an overnight stop, I can't ask for more.

Woke up at 2am to a noise. Went to check. Saw a mouse go into the burner of the stove. Went to front desk. Said that was impossible and called us liars, then proceeds to shut the door on us. Went to the Lakeview just next door.

Our room strongly smelled like fish, the door lock wouldn’t secure the door from the outside no matter how hard we pulled it, and there was no towels. I returned to the office about the door and the on duty manager and her husband came over with tools and eventually repaired the mis-aligned jamb. Initially she refused to acknowledge the fish odor but after we insisted, she and her husband finally admitted that it existed and she moved us to the room next door which was very satisfactory. She made us feel the entire time like we were somehow imposing on her by not accepting an uncleared room which was not good customer service at all.

The rate was $100. on Expedia. There was a sign out front that said $94.99. The sign also said new rooms. My room looked about 50 years old. The laminate flooring was separated in many places. Since I paid more than the posed rate it would have been nice to get one of the new rooms.
