La Martina is well located near many restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the Poblado Metro station. There is no elevator so be prepared to walk up a flight or three (the top floor). Its not a party place although it does have a rooftop bar which is not well attended. The premium rooms have air conditioning while the standard rooms only fans. The morning breakfast is excellent and the desk is helpful and friendly. I arranged an airport transfer after my checkout and it arrived promptly (a few minutes before my 6am checkout) and the driver was efficient and safe and the vehicle in good condition.

La Martina is close enough to Provenza (10 minute walk) but is in a much more quiet neighborhood, yet with many bars and restaurants within a block. The room is basic, with a fan (not an air conditioner or heater) but luckily, Medellín doesn’t need them. The hotel breakfast and the 30 mins free massage are fantastic

I stayed in that hotel for 10 days and it was very inconvenient because you can only bring two changes of clothes. The 10 days I was there my clothes stayed in the suitcase and I had to take out what I was going to wear every day.

Considering the price, this was good value for money. Colombian breakfasts are not as you might expect coming from the UK - a little light in quantity. The room was a good size, with a balcony as promised, but it was an internal room without any view. It was clean, but could do with some maintenance. Due to noise from some of the bars around the hotel, an internal or rear room is a good option, don't go for the upgraded rooms. Wifi was pretty poor in the bedroom, but better in the common area beside reception. The staff were friendly and helpful, and English was spoken by some.

The room was VERY small. The TV with no option for station (very few TV chanels). This is a small house transformed in a hostal instead of hotel.

I had no Internet for the whole day front desk. They’re really care call what problem it take the time by the dressing. It won’t return cause you got to stay on about doing something then when you ask him something, they don’t never know anything.

The staff was amazing. The place was very nice, but we had mold in our room. He did move us to another room right away though. The Jacuzzi was falling apart, but besides that everything was good.

The property was clean and adequate. But I had two concerns. First the room had a window but it faced a wall ( so no view). Second the restaurant for dinner during the Copa America soccer match was not good. We disnt receive our food for almost two hours and when it arrived it was burnt. Dont eat at the restaurant.
