It was too far out of town was expecting to be in York Could not park car in main car park had to use one around back of hotel. Car was damaged on wing mirror Rooms were dated, lock on door was wonky but clean and some cobwebs Food was lovely but we only had breakfast Nice break but a bit disappointed with hotel

Clean and tidy but all be it basic room . Food was good innthe evening and the buffet breakfast was a decent standard. Rooms could do with a refresh but they are clean and tidy

Overall the stay was good and fairly comfortable but the room was a little dated and worn around the skirting boards. The mattress protector on the bed was ripped in the top left corner and personally I prefer thicker pillows.

The overall stay was ok. Decent size rooms, woke up a few times a bit cold but it did have a plug in oil radiator to use if wanted. However, the whole place was very dated, I mean for our needs it was fine. The grounds around it was nice and not too far away from places to eat. We did pay to have breakfast included in the stay. Shame to say that was appalling, apple juice watered down, the coffee well that was just like having hot water. Then the food…. Eggs were really watery, nothing had any flavour to it. The sausages were so dry it was like eating gristle. We both, are not fussy eaters but on this occasion had to walk away from the hotel hungry and went for breakfast somewhere else. Unfortunately won’t be recommending this hotel.

This hotel was beautiful. From the actual building as well as the grounds around. Had 2 wonderful dining experiences with very attentive staff. They made you feel like you mattered and were happy to help. Would definitely recommend this hotel to any family or friends that we wanted to have a wonderful experience. Google maps is a bit off on where to make finally turn it is not as far down on the last road a neighbor helped us out. She said they get lots of people looking for the hotel.

We have stayed here before. It's a good hotel to stay in for a small break. Great to have breakfast included. Bed was comfy, room was good. Our radiator was on at night & it was turned off, so the room was too hot to sleep. It's a good hotel for the price & the star rating.

Good food in the evening and great breakfast. Lovely staff. Booked an executive room, but had a disabled room that I don’t think was executive. Photos online were very different. Bathroom wasn’t great, but lovely huge bed.
