Best Western Plus Citrus Hotel Eastbourne

Stayed one night, hotels locks front door promptly at 23:00. The room we had was spacious and sea-front facing. It was clean and centrally heated, had sufficient towels and pillows. The interior is dated, but given we stayed only one night it didn't detract. We had to ask for coffee and loo roll, but the staff was friendly and provided without question. We didn't eat at the hotel.

It was an ok place. Did the trick. Somewhere to sleep. Breakfast was disappointing. Only hot food boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and beans.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was warm and spacious and clean, good value for money with good facilities and friendly staff

Wasting money!

Lovely staff, hotel clean and simple

Turned up and was greeted by a very excitable gentleman behind the reception, who informed us of the rules of the stay. Basically not to leave any valuables in your room and front door is locked at 11pm. On entering the lift, we came across our first major concern, the buttons for the ground floor and 1st floor were missing and you had to push your finger into the mechanism to get the lift to operate. Then on entering the rooms. They are very basic, really needs updating. No mirror in the bathroom, no hot water. In the evening or in the morning. Breakfast was a shock too, hadn't read the detail when booking no hot breakfast, I know it's a budget hotel but this is a very low budget hotel. This was booked in error and will definitely not be back to use these facilities again

The staff on duty are always welcoming. The area around the hotel is scenic. The rooms were clean. Stayed here many times and have never been disappointed.

The accommodation was in dire need of upgrading. There were areas of the twin room requiring attention - there was a draught from the window, the curtains did not fully cover the window meaning that the bed at the window had a streetlight shining in all night, there was no wardrobe, only one chair, the bathroom door opened facing onto the beds which meant that the light shone directly onto both beds which I found very unusual and the bottom of the door required attention. However the saving point was that the room was perfectly clean and on leaving I thanked the cleaning staff. The Reception Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very local to concert hall we were attending. i know its a very budget price & am taking this into account. Unfortunately the toilet smelt, the lift had broken & we on the top floor with a lot of stairs to go up. Rock hard, round pillows !!!! Had to ask for extra milk as only 4 small tubs in the room. you get what you pay for

dated in terms of decor, fixtures and fittings, furniture, both inside and outside the room. Dated also applies to what is deemed a reasonable requirement for today's traveller .....Iron, suitcase rack, a pair of bathroom glassware, coffee (beyond the 2 sachets supplied) ....air con?

Smelly staff, broken furniture, no toilet brush, no toilet roll holder, shower tap broken, brown splash on the inside of the bathroom door and wall I hope it's not what I think it is, no bed lights, bins not emptied, lights not working in the corridor one of them the fire exit light (fire inspection needed) spider webs all over, dirty cups on arrival paid for 4 nights left after 3, i have stayed in hotels all over the world including third world countries but never anything like that, never again.

Massive disappointment. This hotel is a mess. Took 2 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms had no heating with radiators stone cold. Reported to reception and managers multiple times. Went home early because room too cold to spend second night there. Nothing done, despite multiple complaints. Bathroom had no plug and no mirror. Water pressure very weak. Morning of second day elevator broke down multiple times. It was very old and noisy and had we not been on the top floor we would have used the stairs If this is the standard of "Best Western" things have dramatically declined. Admittedly it was a cheap hotel but you do expect basic amenities like heating !!

The foyer was very welcoming the staff who booked us in was fantastic..the room itself was a little bit tired the bathroom a little snug but had everything that was needed.... housekeeping came every day which was unexpected ( so efficient that they threw away new underwear 😂)and the added bonus for us was dog friendly We like our food so in future it would be nice to see this particular hotel do a full English as the breakfast room was fantastic with absolutely gorgeous chandeliers

It was excellent for me as a solo traveller.Easy to locate. The staff were very helpful, the room I stayed in was clean and well decorated. I liked the wet room bathroom and the facilities in it were easy to use. The only problem I could see was the shortage of towell rails. There was only one towell rail but the bedroom was large and could accommodate 3 people. As the wet room is also large perhaps 2 more towell rails could be attached to the wall opposite the shower seat for when 2 people stay.

Property was great on a budget. Communal areas not very clean

Warm, comfy, polite staff, not bad for a couple if days. Offer breakfast. 15 min walk from station. Close to beaches and theatres.

Property isnt the cleanest of properties. Room was large, bathroom requires a major scrub feaces around the toilet pan from previous people, shower was grubby, towels seen better days. Pillows were hard & bed not the comfiest. Sea view frm the room was the best thing. Glad it was only a quick stay over. There is alot of potential in this place & with a quick decent clean & a freshing up it would be good.

We recently stayed at the Citrus Hotel in Eastbourne and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Our room was spacious, featuring a lovely sea view that added a touch of tranquility to the stay. A fan was also available, which helped maintain a comfortable temperature. The clean towels added to the overall sense of care taken by the staff. The hotel’s 24-hour front desk made check-in and any inquiries convenient. We also loved the communal lounge, which had both a foosball and pool table, perfect for some light entertainment. Snacks and drinks were readily available at the front desk, which was a nice touch. Breakfast far exceeded expectations, going beyond the advertised continental offering. It was a quiet, peaceful stay, with plenty of comfort and thoughtful details that made the experience memorable.

I liked the place. A full English breakfast would of been lovely. I liked the way you can stay in the room until 11 o'clock happy to part with the money.
