This proprty does feel a bit tired and dated. We stayed whilst visiting santa pod raceway. 15 minuets from the track. The hosts were so friendly and accomodating. We had a family room which was perfect. Spotlessly clean including the bathroom and beds comfy. Tea coffee and toiletries in the room. Breakfast was extra but wow! What a great breakfast and im picky for quality 10/10. Overall good value and just what we needed. Should we ever use a hotel again whilst visiting santa pod we would definitely stay again.

Second visit - friendly, clean & welcoming with a carpark for a big van. Bar was open for a beer after a long day. It's all a weary traveller needs. Nice family run operation.

Good cheap hotel. A bit tired looking in places but clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking, good WiFi, usual tea/coffee/ biscuits which were topped up every day, friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom with a walk in shower which I much prefer to a bath. The only issue for me was there was no desk/table to work at but laptops are called laptops for a reason!
Room was cleaned and bed made up for me every day which a lot of hotels don’t do these days.

This large hotel was SO friendly and accommodating. Superb freshly cooked breakfasts and extremely comfortable and quiet room. Had the feel of a very personal B&B rather than a large hotel.
Great value for money - definitely would stay again if we're in the area.

Where to start. It's dire. There's graffiti on the outside wall. I arrived in the afternoon, checked in, got a little nap and a shower before going out for the evening. Upon my return, the smell of weed in the corridor was overwhelming. The mattress wasn't supportive enough and a single quilt is not sufficient for an adult in a single bed. I couldn't reach the bathroom window to close it. The decor and fittings ate we overdue replacement. Breakfast finished at 9am. Really?? My event started at 9am, and I was back in hotel by 10am. So, even if I wanted a relaxing weekend breakfast , no chance. I took photos of the lampshade and kettle, both disgusting.

The property was tired and very dated with no expense given for the exterior and the interior looking like the set for Crossroads (one for the kids there). The 3 main components of any stay for me were good though. This was the bed, the shower and breakfast the next morning.
On site parking was quite limited meaning my car was parked on the road overnight.
The staff were very courteous and accommodating. Overall I was afforded a good night's sleep with a good start to the following day but would rather it be in a different setting.

Hotel is a bit run down. The room smells funny, kind of drainy, like the toilet is blocked or something.
The floor wasn't particularly clean, had bits of debris on the carpet.
Only reason to stay in this one was the hotel I stayed in the night before had no vacancies, similar old building but was cleaner and 60% of the price.

From the outside this hotel isn't paticularly pleasing on the eye, and inside the hotel is a little dated. However, see past that and yiu will have a very enjoyable stay.
This is perhaps the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in and everything in the room yet, which I find often isn't the case, even with 5 star hotels.
The breakfast was perhaps one of the best, if not the best I've ever had in a hotel. And when I thanked the owner she confirmed that all the food is cooked fresh fro scratch.
The husband and wife owners were vert helpful and even opened the bar 2 hours early just to me.
Yes the decor is a little dated and the outside could do with sprucing up, but the service, cleanlinesd and breakfast were 5 star

Lovely lady on reception. Room was cold - a 0 degree night and the window was open a bit! Radiator on low struggled to heat room, spent the evening with a hat on. Heating obviously went off in the night as was stone cold in morning. Didn’t want to move. Jacket and hat whilst doing morning emails.
Also blood (possibly clean but stained) on duvet. Hairs on wall in bathroom. Basic place, not worth the money or bother
