Holiday Inn Express BIRMINGHAM NEC, an IHG Hotel

Nice place and did the job for us on a recent show at the NEC

Excellent stay really enjoyed it from the minute we entered we were greeted with a very warm welcome by Bia who was lovely and went above and beyond.

We have stayed here before. Its a pleasant modern hotel and breakfast is included in the price. They do serve food but there is a very good restaurant about 3.mins walk away. The discounted price for paring is £12.50. Our only problem was i had prepaid for the hotel but the receptionist said i hadnt .There was short queue so i didn't immediately query this and i paid. When i checked my invoice from Hotels .com i had paid. On my return to the reception another receptionist refunded my payment. This was not a problem for me but it could be for someone on a tight budget as it takes a few days for the refund

Fabulous staff, so friendly and helpful, cozy and clean. I recommend. Plenty of value and food was good.

The service in the restaurant was appalling- non existent. When we FINALLY received our food, it was uncooked! We ordered two meals and both had to be sent back. In the end we received a refund and we were forced to eat elsewhere.

Very good stay, great staff, only downside was the duvet was too small for the bed, it only just fit the bed without anyone in it, so once in it, we fought all night for a piece of cover.

Check in was easy, the guy was so helpful- I think he was called Mackenzie! Let us check in 20 mins early as the room was ready, explained how we could walk to the NEC. Room was fine, beds were comfy, it was fairly clean , shower worked well. Breakfast was amazing, fresh pancakes my son loved! Overall an amazing stay for the price

Simple check in / out. Breakfast available early if flying. Pub next door little owl reccomended for food.

Review I had a disappointing experience during my stay at this establishment. The service was extremely poor, and the receptionist (old woman) was rude, unhelpful, and lacked basic politeness in their communication. I was promised an extra bed, which I never received. Additionally, they assured me they would replace the uncomfortable sofa double bed with two separate ones, but they failed to deliver on that promise. The bed quality was absolutely terrible and made for an unpleasant sleep. The bathroom was also subpar, with water not draining properly and the bidet sometimes not functioning at all. As for breakfast, it was very modest with limited options and fell far below expectations. Overall, I would not recommend this place due to the lack of service and poor facilities.

Greazlt checkin experience. Good breakfast choice. Will book again. The staff are lovely, polite and very helpfull.

Very well equipped hotel with all basics covered and parking with ev charger is a winner. Only needs that final bit of maintenance to prevent amenities from breaking down

Location was good. Car parking good. Electric charging-2 spaces however, cable was not long enough for second car. Breakfast was busy. Kept running out of food.
