Leonardo Hotel East Midlands Airport

Booked as we landed 0.55am. 24 hour front desk, quiet room as requested. Key cards did not open door, but sorted quickly with guy on front desk coming to our room to ensure access. Room very warm, everything you need, nice standard for cheap airport hotel

Convenient overnight stay with holiday parking. As we had an early morning flight and it is the most convenient hotel to stay at. Easily walkable to the terminal and also case drop off the night before..

Awful staff and it’s not good if your under 99 years of age

We stayed at the Leonardo both before and after our holiday. It was really convenient for walking to the airport. The room for the second of our stays was not as good as the first stay. The room was a bit run down.

I recently stayed at the Leonardo East Midlands with my family (5 in total) and was quite disappointed by the fact that the pool and leisure facilities we had specifically chosen the hotel for were unavailable during our stay. Upon booking, I had carefully selected this property based on its amenities, which featured the pool and gym to set it apart and secured a higher charge, which we thought was worth it for access to these facilities. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the pool was closed for maintenance, and there was no mention of this at the time of booking or prior to our arrival. I understand that maintenance is sometimes necessary, but it was frustrating to not have been notified in advance. This significantly impacted our stay, as we were looking forward to enjoying these facilities to make it worth our while staying over rather than rushing home. Furthermore, the staff didn't seem to offer any alternative solutions though we received complimentary breakfast for two of our party. While the rest of the hotel was fine, this experience left a sour note on what could have otherwise been a relaxing trip and a repeat visit (we were visiting family nearby). I would strongly recommend that the hotel update their listings and communicate any facility closures ahead of time to avoid future disappointments for guests, perhaps with the parking information that they sent in advance.

This is a LARGE very new hotel with excellent facilities. Staff work hard to ensure you have a good holiday and are helpful if there are problems. Our room did not suit our mobility so they found us a much better location, although room was slightly smaller. Breakfast was excwllent with food for all tastes. Don't know about lunch but dinner did not suit us. Good salads but beef was tough, chicken possibly undercooked and vegetables a bit of a mess. Descriptions not comprehensive and signs in the wrong place. Plenty of close eateries so eating is easily available. Lots of pluses for this place and very few minuses.

The room was a good size, and bathroom, very dated, and the bed was very uncomfortable, didnt sleep at all, there was a dip in the middle, plus the pillows were like putting your head on a brick, Plus the bar ran out of Guinness, Location is absolutely superb, but next time ill stop at premier inn.

Excellent hotel friendly staff lovely clean room,food and drink good although expensive. Close proximity to airport within walking distance.would recommend.

Great stop for flying from East Midlands, and leaving the car there. Bar drinks were rather expensive though.

Our first time staying at this hotel, room very comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant and food was really good and beyond our expectations of an airport hotel. Staff were awesome, so friendly and attentive. Couldn’t fault anything and will definitely stay again.

we stayed because we had an early morning flights from east midlands the staff were lovely the location was 8 minutes walk from the departure lounge.
