Space Apart Hotel

The room had a fully equipped kitchen which should be extremely convenient when needed. Good space, room and bathroom very clean. Quiet location.

Problems from Day 1 with this property. In room washer/dryer did not work. Lighting was wired incorrectly and kept going on/off. Refrigerator did not keep items cold. No emptying of trash daily; was told to carry trash down the street to another property. TV did not work. Evening manager not helpful and had a bad attitude. We contemplated leaving after first night and going to another hotel but there were no vacancies anywhere else. We are frequent world travelers for the last 10 years and would not recommend this hotel.

Fantastic place, would definitely stay there again!

This is not a traditional hotel; it's considered service studio "apartments." I would characterize the room as sort of like a Comfort Inn, but with kitchenette. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Bayswater underground station, and 15 minutes to Paddington station. There are several grocery options within walking distance, and a number of restaurants and cafes. In my particular room, the available seating was two plastic chairs at the little dining table, or the bed. According to photos I saw, some of the rooms are larger and have a small sofa. The room was decent, with a nice kitchenette, but the dishwasher had a musty smell because they apparently leave it fully closed all the time. I discovered that it *needs* to be fully closed in order to keep the under-counter refrigerator door closed. There's also a washing machine. They provide dishwasher detergent packets but none for the washer. The bathroom was very nicely designed, but there was mold in spots where the wall tile meets the floor tile. Housekeeping does not provide service every day except to empty trash; they didn't empty mine every day. I like a firm bed, but this one was so hard it was like sleeping on the box springs; they should put some sort of gel cushion on it. I couldn't use the safe; some previous guest had closed it without clearing their combination. London is an expensive place, so I'd stay here again because of the price, but don't expect a 4- or 5-star hotel.

Do your research before booking this venue. Pros - location is great. Close to shops, restaurants and transport. It was good to have a washer/dryer in the room. The apartment layout meant we had more space than just a hotel room. Cons - the fit out was obviously done a few years ago and there has been no money spent on maintenance since. Things didn’t work or were missing or mismatched but the worst thing was that it was just dirty. The glass bathroom door has dubious splashes on it, the floor was gritty, the crockery was stained and the spare duvet had no cover and was torn and filthy. Unfortunately the guests in the room directly above us liked to party when they came in from their evening out at 3am, making lots of noise. The location was excellent but the many faults mean we would not recommend this hotel.

Good choice, first point of call whenever in London

Good exeprience overall. Quick walk from Paddington. Close to shops restaurants and supermarkets. The room was nice and comfortable but needed some attention. The blinds did not work and were torn and shabby. There was welcome pack so get your own tea and coffee.

Enjoyable place

Very nice staff, was able to left the luggage on the last day until the plane's time. Received a package for me and kept it until I got back.

Found hair in bed. Pictures don’t match reality

Great Location. Curtains in the room wouldnt shut so 2 disturbed nights sleep. Manager fixed the curtains shut, so then they wouldnt open for the day time. There was no balustrade to the stairs, a small child could easily fall through- very dangerous. Upstairs bed not practical, you cant stand up or sit up in bed without bumping your head on the ceiling. None of this was in the description of the property, I wouldn't have booked this property if I had known this.

Like the amenities around the hotel

Service staff was responsive but not really warm and friendly (one was really not and the Italian one was more amiable). Everything was wonderful though, the apartment was fully functipnal. Woyld have been nice to get some complimentary tea and coffee

There's nothing wrong with the property. If I had booked a private room in a 2.5 star hostel i would have been quite happy with the booking. Unfortunately, i booked through a 3rd party website which both listed accurate pictures and listed the property as a 4 star aparthotel. It is not. If you intend to book here, i recommend booking from them directly so you know what you're getting. The property website has accurate pictures of the rooms.

Absolutely loved the space...would stay at again next year

This apartment was so much smaller than the photos most power points don’t work, bedside light not working, tv not working, no face washers,no teaspoons, quilt dirty, dirty stains on bedside table. This apartment could be so much better if the management done their job properly in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep. Also the entrance hallway stinks of cigarette smoke. We would not recommend this place.

The room is okay but the communication/property management is terrible. I have booked this room with free change/cancellation. Since I had a change of travel plan, I requested to shorten my length of stay well before the “free change/cancellation ”deadline. Multiple attempts were made to reach the property directly and via expedia but there is no reply even we have left our messages. On the day before the deadline for change, the expedia team could finally reach the front desk and they acknowledged that I will check-in later. But then, right after the free cancellation period, the property management team replied to both me and expedia team that the request has been denied and my money will not be refunded, which totally defeated the purpose of adding money to make booking with free change/cancellation! And the timing of reply almost made me think that this could be deliberate. The property management team is super unresponsive and irresponsible. Luckily, expedia held accountable at the end, but I have spend much time handling this during my vacation and I find this experience very disturbing and frustrating. Would not recommend this property.

The staff was nice

The room was smaller than pictured but had all the amenities that were listed and would have been a decent stay for the price. The room cleanliness could have been better with marks on the duvet and dust in the room The bed was the main issue the mattress is rock solid due to it being a strange folding bed - the comfortable bed is the deal breaker for future stays.

We had a good time in london and this property made it very easy to tour around with near by transport and walkable amenities. The staff were friendly too. The bedroom was spacecious and lovely, just minor cleanliness issues.
