Very warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and nice pub food. Would stay again as stay was great value for money

Welcome and check in fine, evening meal and ales good. Rooms very well presented, warm and comfortable. Rather noisy until pub below closed, then peaceful. Pre-ordering breakfast the night before a little unusual and limited time of 0800-0900 not great for a Sunday morning. Full English breakfast decent, rather casually presented, luke warm tea, no toast? cereals etc not stocked and yoghurts out of date, so not tried. I didn't complain

The rooms are clean, comfy and beds comfortable. The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. The team are very welcoming, Tabatha and Jane are excellent. Thank you

It's an old pub so sound proofing isn't great (especially on a Saturday night) but the room was just lovely and the food (breakfast and dinner) was fabulous! Felt like a real find.

Nice place, pet friendly, good breakfast! Bed badly made and carpet needed a vacuum. Room not properly stocked - had to ask for mug and spoon. Comfy bed though and nice spicy soup for dinner. Barman and friends chatted loudly and banged around below my room until 2 in the morning. So bad night’s sleep! Loudly banging front door to pub right below single room.

I Booked through hotels.com and when I arrived at the hotel was full and no room at the inn. This is not the fault of The George its Hotel.com that was responsible

Charming Inn as it might have been in Tudor times (though updated!!). The food and the staff were outstanding

Stayed at the inn overnight with a friend on the way to see Stonehenge. We were greeted by Tabitha who made sure anything we needed was taken care of when we checked into our room. She was our waitress as well for dinner and is a credit to the inn and amazing at her job. We loved this place.

Good pub atmosphere, yet room was very quiet and not disturbed by customers or traffic. Evening meal was tasty and substantial. Breakfast was good

Very nice place with excellent food. However, the cleanliness was a bit superficial - slightly out of the way areas were dusty and all of the tables were sticky.

Room very nice but had a horrendous noise from kitchen fan very noisy.We were directly over main kitchen. Room was cold asked if radiator could go on but no it was raining very hard outside.In which room was cold. Not enough sugar only 5 strips.No proper t bags only earl grey,mint tea,fruit tea.Kettle had to go on floor as lead does not reach.Food in pub was excellent.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Great service, great welcoming people. We eat in the restaurant and the food was great value and excellent quality. All home cooked. Lovely dogs that the kids fell in love with and a great breakfast in the morning included. Absolutely loved this place. Thank you

A super warm welcome from the lovely Narissa ..shown to our room and it was cosy and had everything we needed..settled in then had a super supper ..really delicious fresh food..had beers in our room..conked out ..lovely sleep..went down for a beautiful breakfast and after our walk in the local beautiful countryside, we returned for dinner..Alas the kitchen had closed..we accepted our fate and were happy with a bag of Walkers!!..But then Narissa and the wonder chef André offered to open the kitchen and do us anything we wanted!…we were so made up and had another gorgeous dinner…a wonderful gesture which made our stay extra special…Just what the well-being Dr ordered!.. Georgeous! Xxx
