Cute little pub. Rooms are simple and nice. Breakfast was lovely as well. Staff were all friendly and happy to help. Only downsides were: the bed was rock solid, and the walls were thin. Other than that, it's a nice hotel!

We were booked in for two nights but only stayed for one. We were kept awake until gone 1am from the music in the bar. The room was very small and dirty. We asked for a refund but still haven't heard back from the manager. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Not bad! Was a little nervous with some the reviews and pictures. However, for what we paid it was great! Free parking was a great bonus.

1 night stay with my daughter. Initially impressed with our room. 15 minute walk to town. In a rundown part of town with nothing around and would not want to walk around on my own. Breakfast only available on Sundays. Room absolutely freezing ended up sleeping in my clothes! Live music went on until 1am. It was that loud it felt like we were actually sitting in the middle of the pub. To top it off the ‘guests’ above us were so noisy I ended up going to the bar to complain. Barman and housekeeper walked upstairs with me to work out which room it was to find the ‘guests’ had 2 female ‘friends’ in there. Room stunk of smoke. They’d put a sock over the smoke alarm to stop it going off! WHERE WAS THE SECURITY PERSON that’s meant to be around. Fuming that no one was there this morning to apologise about this.

I arrived around 6:30pm to check in. Had to wait nearly 15 mins as there was only 1 staff member. Who was busy working the bar. Was given door code but had no idea where it was. Had to ask people who was smoking in beer garden. Paid £10 for 12 noon check out, was woken by up by the house keeping ladies talking loudly outside in the corridor then knocked my door at 10am. I opened the door and had to let them know I had late check out & asked them to keep the noise down. Had to ask woman in pub if I just leave key key on reception, she jut said yes. Wasn’t asked how the stay was or anything.

, on a ground floor room next to door so disturbed all night. Upon entering the room smelt of bleach when we returned it smelt strongly of urine. We knew it was cheap and wouldn’t be perfect but it was a horrible night. The walls and floors are paper thin. We just got up and left early, no staff at reception so just left

We stayed for a night out at the Jam House but didn’t want to pay £100 + for a room closer. My Wife was not happy, room was very cold, bathroom smelt of damp and the shower head was dirty. From my perspective drinks were cheap and I crashed at the end of the night so did not notice much. In hindsight as we were with friends we could have just had a taxi each way and slept in our own comfy beds!

Doors were damaged. Plug sockets were faulty. Dodgy tv remote so couldn’t watch tv. Radiator did not work so we were shivering therefore unable to sleep. Shower was leaking and sent bursts of boiling water through the head. Despite this the receptionist was kind.

I stayed in Room 6 on the ground floor. The room itself was very basic but in acceptable condition. The bar served good beer, and while I ordered a beef burger for £10, I found it disappointingly small and lacking—surprisingly, it was worse than a McDonald’s burger in both taste and presentation. Unfortunately, the noise was a major drawback. The bar noise continued until late, and even after it closed, I was disturbed by a persistent creaking from the floor above. This went on until around 1:15 am, making it hard to sleep. The creaking started again as early as 5:50 am, which felt like someone was walking around nonstop above my room. Given the frequency of the footsteps, it’s likely a staff or host room. Eventually, I gave up trying to rest and left the room by 7 am. Overall, while the facilities were passable, the poor noise control severely impacted my experience, making it difficult to recommend this hotel for those needing a good night’s sleep.

The pub is nice Food was brilliant and cheap as were drinks...reminded me of proper school dinners- yum! TV in the room worked (you'd be surprised how often they don't in hotels) However the room smelt of sewage, the bathroom was not nice, there were wood lice, a rat trap in the hall, the guests I think were construction workers so woke up at the crack of dawn and we're noisy, alln alarm went off for most of the night every night and I think it's a red light district. So if you are a construction worker or the light and just need to bed down this is the place for you. However if you need a nice, relaxing place to sleep and work, this is not for you
