Lovely little guest house at the bottom of Main St, lots of shops and pubs in a gorgeous setting.

Leanne and her mother were excellent and the cooked breakfast was great. Very comfy bed.

Parking around the corner in grounds of local pub caused an element of uncertainty. Otherwise a good experience.

Fabulous from start to finish. We had a complimentary upgrade and room was fab. Huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits replenished daily. Breakfast fabulous selection of juices, fruits, cereals and yogurts and great choice of cooked breakfasts - all needs catered for vegetarian and gluten free too. Hosts so welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend and will be returning next year

The room was lovely and the hosts were lovely, nothing was too much trouble.

Room had cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom. Shower curtain was black at bottom. Old furniture needs a good clean . Hole in pillowcase. No lighting working in room for breakfast. Apart from a person checking us in, as we left, no one asked if our stay had been ok . Told to leave key in room. Breakfast adequate. This place needs a proper clean overall and maintenance of areas. Glad we only had one night there.

Excellent location in the heart of the historic village. Food was good but the standard of decoration, figment and maintenance was not what I expected of a 4* hotel. The picture of the superior room I booked was misleading.

Nice property in a lovely location with parking nearby. Enjoyed Breakfast.

Great stay and great breakfast

Pros: Cute, cozy room. Great location. Delicious, filling breakfasts. Only con: No one answered any of the listed phone numbers when we arrived early, hoping to drop off our bags before check-in. We rang the doorbell numerous times too. Finally a man who lives downstairs let us in, informing us that "they never answer their phone".

A beautiful room with a lovely breakfast included and very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again and highly recommend.

The building looked great. Inside it clearly needed some investment to restore and make the most of the original features. The bedroom was okay but it looked like there was still me damp in the bathroom.

Had a great stay here. The breakfast was lovely. The lady that served us couldn’t do more for you, she was so lovely. Will definitely be back !

No one at the hotel when we arrived. Checked in but no one about, bar closed. Entered our room at 4 o’clock, room very cold. Heating did not come on until 6. Went out to dinner, returned to the hotel at 9.45, once again nobody about. The following morning woke up to no heating, it was really cold coming out of the shower with no heat in the bathroom. Heating did not come on in our room until 9 o’clock. Breakfast was very good, excellent service. The hotel in general was lovely, our room, The Lavender Room was really nice. I think the owners have been experiencing some problems, but when sorted, hopefully it will return to a well run hotel.

Room was dusty. Had a problem checking in as there was no-one on site. No hair dryer provided. Toiletries were half used and dirty. Tea and coffee provided was extremely basic. Room had no heating for the first eveing. Was expecting a four-bed poster bed as that was the bed that was in the pictures when I booked.

Excellent location, highly recommended hotel. Owners were extremely friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice place to stay, we had the Pears room. It had a great view and the bed was very comfortable. Only slight negatives lots of stairs and if you are tall you would struggle on the window side of the room. Would love to stay again.
