Nice, very clean and comfortable. However it is minimalistic. Besides the beds (which are very comfortable), little table and one chair, you only get two paper cups and soap. However it's all you need for one night stay, right? It's about 20-30 minutes walk (along highway) to the center of the town. We called taxi to get back to the hotel, and it was only 15 euros. Breakfast was really great. Freshly squeezed orange juice, nice service, great food.

Nice facility although no elevator from lobby level, had to pull suitcase up ramp alongside stairs for half a flight of stairs. Ramp was wide enough for carryon but not for checked bag. Mildew on shower grout. Reception staff friendly but restaurant staff would clearly prefer us not to bother them. Very different from the exceptional service at two other Ibis hotels we'd stayed at on this vacation

The accommodation was very good and the beds very comftable. The majority of the restaurant staff were fine but one was very unhelpful, and after telling my wife and sister in law they could just have a buffet salad starter and dessert, we were charged for two mains, when we queried it, we were told if you didn't have mains as well you were charged for them although they had starter sized plates, she was very abrupt and wouldn't even consider any sort of compromise. At breakfast time you're not even welcomed into the restaurant and left to fend for yourselves, I've stayed in many French hotels and normally a lot of effort is put into welcoming you into the restaurant and guiding you through the buffet breakfast.

The hotel staff was very friendly and everyone that we encountered spoke English well. The room was a bit small, but worked perfectly for our short stay as we were just passing through. We stayed in mid-September so we opened up both huge windows to let in a nice evening breeze. To my surprise there was an electric shade on the outside of the windows that completely blacked out all of the light so if needed you could easily take a nap during the day. We had a hard time getting the TV to work, but never complained about it because the channels probably were not in English anyways. The free breakfast the next morning was what to be expected in Europe, good coffee, boiled eggs, meat, cereal, meat and cheese. Overall it was an excellent hotel for the money and I would stay there again.

The building is poorly designed and the interior is in need of redecoration. While our bed was comfortable, the bedroom was in general badly furnished. Dinner was poor value for money and a disappointment. The location is remote from the centre of Auxerre and there are no good restaurants in the vicinity. On the plus side, breakfast was good, and secure parking was available.

We stayed here on the first night of a Motorcycle trip, it was just a single night as we pressed on towards more exciting destinations (Tarn Gorge, Cevennes and Alps) As France was experiencing a heatwave it was chosen primarily due to having air conditioning and a swimming pool - both were most welcome after riding most of the day in temps above 35c. The complimentary water we were handed on arrival was also appreciated. They also had a large garage to park our motorcycles - and without any additional charge, which was nice, although the area looked OK and I would not of been overly concerned about leaving them out the front overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. Due to the heat in the evening we decided not to walk all the way to town and went to the closest restaurant (A Buffalo Bill Grill) and there I believe there are other eateries not too much further away. I would certainly stay here again if heading in the same direction.

We spent one night at the ibis hotel Upon arrival the front desk person was very friendly and helpful and showed us a map with all the places of interest in the town, which was just s five minute drive. However our room had an open couch in it and therefore hard to move around due to lack of space. We had an issue with the shower that was not draining but we were able to fix it. We also had to go back downstairs to ask for the tv remote that was missing. The person at the desk was most helpful and responsive. Over a goodnight stay but they seemed to be understaffed while defying their best to help us. The breakfast was very good and greasy with lots of choices .

Had never experienced Ibis before, and was NOT disappointed. They had very comfortable beds and pillows with dark out curtains (a neat push button feature brings down an outside darkening screen. I slept so well. Good breakfast with lots of options was included.

Nice comfortable room - but restaurant service was dire. It took the waitress 30 minutes to take our order, and a total time of an hour for the food to arrive. She was rude, dismissive and didn't see to care that we had twin 6 year olds who were tired and needed feeding. When challenged, she almost had a go at us for having the temerity to complain/query the length of time it was taking to serve us. When the food arrived it was mediocre and certainly not worth the inflated prices. One piece of advice - never, ever just melt a piece of Epoise chees over beef, it need tempering down. We could have walked to the nearest Buffalo Grill, been served, eaten our meals, and walked back in the time the hotel faffed around. We're not going back!

Stayed 3 nights. Comfortable and quiet in the room. Bathroom facilities need updating. In-house restaurant serves really excellent food, although cooked breakfast choice is limited. Hotel location quite isolated, although there are two 'fast -food' outlets within walking distance.

This was our stop before driving to Paris to catch our plane and was outside of the town center. The hotel was fine for the purpose it served. There were many restaurants within walking distance and it was very conveniently located to the freeways and nearby towns to visit. We had a upper story room which had a large window with a decent view. This was helpful because it rained and the time we had to spend in the room did not feel closed in. There were a couple of English channels on the TV. Please be aware that the hotel restaurant is closed on Sundays so make other plans. The hotel was older but okay and the bathroom was good.
