hotel rooms are very dated and in need of painting and maintenance Hotel could be beautiful if it was given some love, great location

Great staying for a short business trip. Conveniently located to reach any destination. Nice top roof restaurant with awesome city view. A little maintenance in the aisles of the rooms should help.

Great roof top bar, swimming pool and hot tub with fantastic views over Nice and within easy walking of the city centre. Unfortunately the air conditioning in the room didn’t work or had been turned off so the room temperature was very warm and slightly uncomfortable.

No air conditioning in summer heat, despite keeping windows open. Suite was old and moldy, causing asthma symptoms, with outdated furniture. Hotel site claims a "gym"; would not qualify it as such. Essentially a 4-star cost for a 1-star hotel. We do not recommend.

Despite the heat, the AC was off in the hotel. Had to open the windows. The suite was old and moldy and my wife hard asthma symptoms. A four star price for a one star hotel. Don’t stay there.

The staff and their service is great. The hotel itself on the other hand is rather old and needs renovation.

Splendid is a good “4 Star” hotel in central Nice. It represents solid price/value for the area. The best thing about the hotel is the rooftop (8th floor) Bar and Restaurant. Their breakfast buffet runs $19 Euro and is a good value. Worth noting their dinner menu is quite limited.

Great location and I am well aware that rooms are smaller but being a 4 star they need some refresh on interior/paint - picture.

The hotel is very hold and the room vas very bad. For me it’s more of a 3 stars. However the location was good distance to the prom and the train station

My first impression, when I arrived to your hotel and waited at the reception to check-in was a real desappointment! 3 receptionists were working then. They didn't look at me as a new guest, no one could say: "welcome we will soon take care of you", which is, to my opinion, very unprofessional, further on, the Manager came to the front desk, he was angry and said very unpleasant comments to the staff infront of the people who where checking in, like me. I went forward the desk, looked at him with sharp eyes, meaning: That is not acceptable, definitely not professional at all. He understood the message and left the reception immediatly. When I called the reception from my room with some questions I had, the woman who answered (she also was at the reception when I arrived, she was staring in her computer all the time, total lack of social competence) she just said: I am busy (with a harsh tone) I'll call you in 5 minutes. She never called me back! My room was fine, the cleaning was perfect, the top roof was really great, the staff there was very friendly, service-minded real professionals!! Because of the unprofessional and unpleasant staff at the reception I will never come back to your hotel. I just came back from Nice and chose an other 4 stars hotel, very close to yours. Everyone there were very friendly, service- minded, asked if I needed help with something! Advice: Do something with your staff in the reception.

A very easy check in from day one.. Room 516 was OK but next time we must ask Michael Tschann and Receiption when booking with a request for much better Room No. 515 The Swimming Pool upstairs and bar still a super place to go and relax during the day. A super lovely hotel in every way and so close to the Tram line Station Alsace Lorraine which you should add as a selling feature on all your adverts and brochures. The local tram line station has a super service back to Terminals 1 and 2 Nice Aeroport for only Euro 1.69 per person for a one way trip being now so much cheaper than an Uber Taxi We had a lovely short holiday this year but enjoyed it as always before very much. We visited Les Sens Verdant Blue Beach Restaurants and Iskender Kebab for a very late night beer and Pernod after your hotel bar closed down around midnight. Location is perfect for beach, train station and old town

We stayed in this “luxury” hotel for a week in a very hot summer with no working AC. We were promised to have a working Air Conditioning every day and it was very uncomfortable and honestly we felt overcharged and hustled. It was very uncomfortable.

Rooms are very dated needs a lot improvement. I had to move room several times for a stay of 1 week only. 1. Room not in good conditions and smell of smoke 2. Smell in another room, then leaks

Incredible place to stay,travel, business meeting, sight seeing. I wish I have had stay longer. A must come back for the friendly people of the NL

I booked this property because of its 4 star rating and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The rooms are very dated, the air conditioning barely functions and we did detect a moldy smell. Location near the beach and other areas was good, but I will not be staying at this property ever again. I was offered 100 euros as a discount from my final bill which was appreciated, but I would rate this property a 2-3 star at most.

I got to the hotel and tried to checkin at the reception the lady at the desk was not helpful at all, she asked for a cash deposit even after asking her to use my card number details I had to pre authorise the transaction she refused, said I couldn’t check in. I only had contactless and the card details I had used at a previous hotel to pre authorise as a deposit. They said I should try an atm outside and I had to go beg someone at an atm that they take out cash and I do an instant transfer for them, it was hard finding someone who spoke English for starters, nearly 45mins later I had €50 cash for my deposit. I eventually got to the room and unfortunately it had a horrible smell from the shower, like a sewage leak, went to complain they said I can’t change rooms they will send someone, they did eventually send someone who cleaned and sprayed the shower. The rest of the stay was ok, the balcony had no view, pool was small but at least had one, not convinced the hotel was value for money, breakfast I had once was good. The area is safe close to walk to the beach. Overall experience average. I doubt I would stay here again.
