Castle House Luxury Apartments

I booked an extra night on accident and when I called they will not do refunds. Got there and hear was off and windows open, cold as crap.People above me were loud and woke me up everyday. Didn’t like that they would come in my room everyday and put my chocolate in the fridge. If I wanted it cold I would’ve put it in there. Good location but wouldn’t go back

Quiet area in Reykjavik but in walking distance to the Rainbow Street area. 5 minutes from a grocery shop. The apartment had all the right amenities supplied in the kitchen - toaster microwave, fridge etc that helped us make dinners rather than go out every night. Comfy bed and secure system to enter the property. Very quick communication from the owner. A pleasant stay.

Great communication and directions to the property. Apartment in excellent location and easily walkable to Reykjavik centre with its many shops, supermarkets and eateries. On street parking available nearby which is payable but plenty of spaces available. Accommodation was as described and had everything we needed, serving as a great base from which to explore Iceland.

The location of Castle House Lux Apartments is ideal. It’s right next to Tjornin Lake and within easy walking to downtown, shopping areas, and pickup spots for tours. There is a large supermarket within a 5 min walk. The kitchen is small, but functional with a 2-burner stove and a small refrigerator, which was sufficient for our needs. We were able to cook all our dinner meals there. Our rooms were very clean. The 2 upstairs apartments with a balcony require climbing a set of stairs to the front door and another longer flight to get to the room. This could be an issue for those with mobility limitations. It was cool and wet most of the days we were there, so we didn’t make use of the balcony. The management staff replied very quickly to emails and messages. When our delayed luggage was to be delivered to the apartment, Castle House provided someone to meet the delivery person as we weren’t available for the delivery to our room. They also have a storage room to hold luggage for a few hours if needed pre/post our stay.

Fantastic property- conveniently located near the Pond , central Reykjavík. Easily walkable to the BSI bus station and city. Apartment fully equipped and comfortable. Will return.

The apartment was great and very close to the city center and other attractions. We walked everywhere and the bus stop was only 2 blocks away. I would recommend this apartment and will stay there on my next trip to Reykjavik.

Excellent location, room comfortable and well equipped!

Great location near bus stops and restaurants and shopping streets. I needed information about where to leave luggage on our early arrival off a cruise ship. Email wasn’t replied to but luckily a resident was able to advise us to leave in the apartment lobby.

Perfect for what we needed. The automatic door lock had an issue when pressing 3 and was resolved with a phone call.

We were very happy with our stay at Castle House. Location was great apartment was fine, we would have liked the floors to be a little cleaner or for there to be a broom or vacuum cleaner left for us to tidy up.

Very convenient location!! In the heart of city center! Walkable to everything!!

This was a lovely place to stay. It was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. P3 parking just a block away. There's a little church in front of it and we always knew where we were staying when we could locate the church. The only problem we had was we couldn't access the television. The remote was broken and glued together. After 3 days they finally replaced it. In all a very pleasant stay in a central location. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was clean and had plenty of room for two people. We found the location very good since we walked from the bus terminal and also walked around town a lot. We were concerned about luggage storage, but it was available. There is a phone for local calls and in case anything is needed from the property manager.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartments were small, but had everything we needed. The room was within walking distance to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks very much.

I recommend taking the word "Luxury" out of the name. There was nothing luxurious about it. Would never stay there again. There were plenty of other options nearby.

Excellent all round

I like this property a lot. Very close to downtown Reykjavik and felt very safe here. It got a small kitchen where I can cook my meals and nice big room and bathroom. Would love to stay here again if I go back to beautiful and magical Iceland 😘

This place was great for my husband and I. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location is excellent! There's 3 bus stops right around the corner along with restaurants and shopping. Short walk to the city center and grocery store. The pond across the street is lovely too. Lots of ducks and swans The only issue I had was with the keypad for the apartment. Every time I would type the code in it wouldn't work half the time and it even locked us out of the apartment and set off an alarm.But it reset itself after a couple of minutes. I was not able to get ahold of anyone with the number because I couldn't make a call on my cellphone. There are phones in the rooms but since I couldn't get into the room it didn’t do us any good. I would recommend key cards instead if a pin. Overall it was a great stay. I especially loved the heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom.

The aparrment was very comfortable and in an excellent location. It is quiet yet easily walkable to the grocery store, shopping and restaurants, and close to a bus stop. Check in was easy with clear instructions and responses to email were very quick. Highly recommend.
