Ever thinking to stay your weekend holiday in a full old-styled artistic & luxurious colonial hotel details hospitality in the heart of city ? If you do, this Hotel Besar is the only right place when you arrive Purwokerto.
We had 3-days weekend holiday staying here on late of April 2018 (Friday evening until Sunday morning) and it was awesome. We found clean & fresh environment with a beauty garden in center of building.
Hot shower water worked well as room air-conditioned and flat tivi served good. Wifi coverage connection was a bit terrible as our room in the back of center garden nearby was difficult to access.
Breakfast menus are advised to be more varied & served a bit quick.

Friendly staff, dirty room with lots of hair, smelly toilet. The sheets look like they haven't been changed, they smell musty. The towels are also yellow. In the end, I didn't stay there.

The location of the hotel in my opinion is very good, not too far from the city center, but in a fairly quiet area. The hotel building is old (except for 6 new rooms, Opal Room), well maintained. Opal Room with the highest rate on the property, but highly recommended because of the better room facilities. Breakfast at The Shia is quite good with a choice of menus, not a buffet.

The first day I stayed in a deluxe room, the room was large, overall ok, only the bathroom needed renovation and there was no sink table. The next day I moved to the opal room, which is a new building, then it felt comfortable and nice even though the room was smaller. Unfortunately the towels could be upgraded a bit and the room cleaning turns out if we don't drop the key it won't be cleaned up 😁 so far for business it's ok and if you're staying with a lot of people it's nice because the shape of the hotel is like a house. This is one of my favorites because we don't feel like leaving the room and finding a narrow corridor and don't have to queue for the elevator. Plus the restaurant is delicious and 24 hours.

Menawi Rika Menyang Purwokerto, iki hotel e! This Big Hotel is an old hotel but is very well maintained. Clean, located in the center of Pwt (next to Roti Go), close to everywhere, surrounded by lots of sellers), comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast (breakfast at The Shia restaurant), friendly and helpful hotel staff. The coffee at the restaurant is also delicious (20 thousand). I was very satisfied staying here even though it was only for one night and will return with a group later in September.

Hotel with a classic building located in the city center of Purwokerto. Feels spacious and really comfortable, the staff is friendly and informative. I stayed in the old building but the room and bathroom were still clean. It's just that there is no or no warm water for bathing. There were no toothbrushes provided and the bath towels were very small for adults so I continued to use the personal toiletries I always bring. Maybe what needs to be paid attention to is the TV remote which looks like the batteries have never been replaced. Overall recommended to stay here
