Aizuwakamatsu Washington Hotel

For two non Japanese speaking Americans, the staff were very helpful. The hotel room is incredibly well stocked with amenities. The room we had, a small double, was quite small but it had everything we needed, a hot shower and a place to sleep, and it included a mini fridge. The bed was neat as there was a radio system built in for AM/FM stations, of course we couldn’t understand what they were saying, but I’d never seen anything like that before. We paid to have breakfast included with our stay, it was neat as I’d never had a Japanese breakfast, see the picture attached. The location was ideal, central and close to the castle and pagodas. We even had a view of the castle from our room! If you’re into winter sports, skiing/snowboarding, there looked to be several different ski lifts on the surrounding mountains. All in all, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very good buffet breakfast and they have take away coffee machine for guests who need extra coffee after breakfast. Room has a nice street view. Excellent staff services. Near several nice restaurants, convenience stores and Pivot Supermarket. A short walk from JR Station. Very happy to stay here as price is not high.

Big room and bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, lots of amenities. Very close to station. Seems clean and well kept. Check out time is later than most hotels and check in time is earlier, which is nice to accommodate slightly sporadic train times. Big, comfy bed and very comfy pillows. Had a minor earthquake while I stayed and everything was sturdy, nothing even fell off the walls/shelves. Only issue I encountered was soundproofing, can hear every move your neighbours make, plus lots of traffic noise and sirens.
