Great property, recently reconditioned. Clean rooms with great layout of bathroom and separate toilet. Natural light, great onsen facilities and friendly staff. 2 - 3 mins walk from the train station. Would be happy to recommend and return.

Loved the onsen on the roof! They do need to teach ppl how to use the sauna pads (you sit on them) / where you place them after use.

It was my husband's first time in Japan and the onsen/ryokkan experience. He enjoyed every moment of the stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The kaizeki dinner was delicious with locally sourced ingredients and breakfast was amazing to get our day started. We still dream about the miso soup hot pot at dinner! Thank you for creating this wonderful experience of Japan for my husband!

Hotel is very clean and nicely kept. Our room was full of luggage on arrival and the staff did accommodate us and removed the bags, but we had to press for room change. Overall, staff were pleasant.
Convenient location to Kyoto Station, but not a lot of good restaurant options nearby. We did not at the hotel, but the restaurant looked quite nice. The area, as most of Japan, feels very safe at any time.
Self-use laundry is free, which is super nice. We paid $95 in Nagano for laundry service, of we had known that laundry (on tour time and effort) is free, we probably would have waited and used hotel.
Our friends did use and had no problem, so a big plus.
About 30 min walk to Gion.

The property is centrally located. Staff is able to communicate in English and advice on local travels to the destinations. Kyoto Station is actually very close by but the underground pathway is a maze that needed to be studied beforehand. Especially when looking for escalators and elevators

Not a good service when checking out. Threatened us by calling the police, eventhough we just asked rather to go to my parents room shortly. Rest of them were good.

The place was so clean and well organized for tourists. The hotel seems renovated recently so I can feel the brand new smell. The staff were very kind and well trained to take care their guests. And it is located very close to the Kyoto station from where our family can start daily trip to near spots without any stop. Even we can come back to the Kansai International Airport after finishing my lovely Kyoto trip.
