Good

We enjoyed staying here for a family of 5. We reserved a room with 4 beds and a pull out couch, and the pull out couch was already made with blankets, sheets etc. when we checked in. It was a walkable distance from the Aomori station, even during heavy snowy day. We also chose breakfast included (buffet style), and there are so many varieties of delicious foods. Their Apple sorbet and vanilla ice cream were really good! They also offered fresh apple juice near the check in counter and also at breakfast buffet and the apple juice was one of the best apple juices I had. Aomori is famous for their apples. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel was nice, room was fresh and clean, buffet breakfast was worth the ¥1950.

Breakfast was great for fish lovers. The hotel was quiet and comfortable but a bit of a squeeze for 3 with such large “single?” beds.

Really nice hotel. Staff were great and were extremely accomodating by using a translating device to communicate! The free apple juice was a great bonus as well. There are not many places to go around the hotel but the hotel itself was excellent. Would stay again!

We had a large room (quadruple) for 3 adults and I would say it was quite expensive. I expected a better value for what I received.

Nice location within fair walking distance to Aomori station, Ferry Boat Museum, Nebuta Museum and Aomori Prefecture Tourism Observation building. There are a handful of small local eateries and bars in the surrounding neighborhood and the closer you get to the train station the choices increase. The ocean view overlooking Aomori Harbor from our room was awesome. The breakfast buffet is great with lots of choices, especially Japanese side dishes and seafoods. The room size is large by Japan standards and there was enough floor space for two full size suitcases. The bonus was the in room massage chair that so soothing after being out all day sightseeing.

Great place to stay when visiting Aomori city. Great location, rooms, and service.

Everything was wonderful, location was excellent, reasonable distance, the only issue was sleep, which being the main purpose of the business. This was quite unfortunate, while I can understand concept such as central air conditioning, that is fine the issue is arrised when I requested an additional blanket as I run extremely hot and need a seperate blanket to be able to sleep well, first my partner requested a blanket from the front desk( there is nothing lost in translation as she is a native level proficiency in Japanese, the gentleman claimed that they do not have access to blankets and that we should look for a mythical non existent cubby in the bed for an additional blanket, needless to say I we ended up taking the sheets of the single blanket we were provided and did our best, this is not a cheap hotel there are less expensive and closer options to the subway station. I wonder if we were locals, elderly or children if they would have accommodated but we will never know. Will not be staying with Art again.

Nice but small toilet and shower

Good and clean environment. I had an ocean view on the top floor. Room was nice, no complaints. Just put the A/C on max before you goto sleep. Also, breakfast was nice.

The artwork in the lobby is beautiful. The area nearby is very walkable the food options are a little limited depending on the time of day you like to eat. If you are a late night person looking for a quiet time near a simple harbor this city, and this hotel will be perfect for you.

Need more restaurants

Great location. Room had all amenities. Window facing bay had condensation and black mold. This is a serious issue. Folks can get sick. I know it's winter but this is a major issue considering you get everything else right.

Room is very quiet and cozy for what it is, overall good atmosphere. Staff was polite and friendly. About 15 minutes walk from Aomori station.

Reachable to food area

Lovely hotel. Parking assigned was comical. A pole was blocking the parking space, so our driver had to maneuver the van to park. The room temperature was uncomfortable but a front staff person had to assist to open the window for our rooms. We had two reservations and wanted to stay in our initial rooms and willing to pay the difference. The front desk would not try to make that happen. One of a member of our group retired from Sheraton Hotel in Honolulu, Waikiki mentioned they did it all the time at her hotel. So, we had to move rooms which was a bummer.

The close proximity to Aomori station made transportation via walking or taxi incredibly easy and fast. The closeness to the the waterfront was also a delight as it allowed walking on the waterfront as a route back to the hotel which was beautiful and calming. The staff were also excellent and check-in/check-out were easy even in English as the staff keep a translator on hand. The only complaint I have is that there was some slight damage on the windowsill from what looked like moisture, but considering the climate of the area, and that they were clearly aware and working on it makes it extremely forgivable.
