My stay at this beautiful hotel was absolutely delightful! The bathroom was stunning, complete with a gorgeous bathtub that made for a luxurious experience. we absolutely loved our stay. The hotel room was gorgeous. It was so warm and the staff was so friendly. They literally walked us up to our room with our bags and open the door for us to escort us into our space. Everything was well organized and clean, and the service was just phenomenal. We also loved that there was free coffee and wine all day every day downstairs in the lobby, which was nice and then we enjoyed a complementary all you can eat buffet breakfast, which was so tasty and had a mix of Japanese and western items. I can't thank the team enough for the great stay and the great hospitality.

Kanra is 5 / 5 in all respects! The location is also great, quiet and not very touristy but a lot of food and coffee options walking distance from the hotel. Incredibly easy access to the Karasuma Gojo subway station as well.

Loved the hotel a lot. The staff were nice and kind. Provided me a lot of information about the hotel check in and out, restaurant, housekeeping and recommendations of different wards. The room was very spacious. Absolutely loved the wooden tub but didn’t use it. Was worry about water damaging the wood. Next time I’ll use it when I stay longer. Overall, great place to stay

That was great to stay at Karan hotel. We’v got there little early and I didn’t expect that we can check in! We loved welcome drink and wet towels when we checked in. Also we loved rental bicycles. We could move around in Kyoto so smooth. And we loved the bathroom so nice.

Wonderful hotel! It’s quiet and unassuming, with a real Japanese aesthetic. It’s very well managed and clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The rooms are small but the bed is very comfortable and the shower is outstanding. The breakfast buffet is very good with a wide range of cuisines. The only downside is that there is not much around the hotel. It’s a quick 10 min walk to the train station, 5 min to the subway, and there’s a 7-11 two doors away with an ATM. I’m sure the room rate would be higher if the hotel were nearer to major tourist sites, but the sights in Kyoto are very spread out anyway, and we were happy to get around by subway, foot and taxi through the many traditional neighborhoods of the city.
