Staying here was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The view from our bedroom was absolutely stunning - I miss it already. The giant windows made for such a special place experience. If you can afford the river facing rooms, it is an absolute must. The view of the stars at night, especially through the provided binoculars, was breathtaking.
The onsen is really lovely too, so definitely worth a visit.
Finally, the food - wow! We didn’t expect to have such fine quality dining, with wonderful service. It was definitely some of the best food we ate on our entire trip (especially the beef). Delicious!

初めての上高地でした。東京は37℃にも達する猛暑の中、さすがの上高地でも寝苦しいのでは、と思案しましたが、まったくもって問題なく、さすがは日本屈指の避暑地です。温泉あり、部屋からの星空は驚くべき美しさ、夕食のおいしさには不満を示す要因はありません。また寄らせていただきたいと思っています。

Last time I stayed imperial Hotel Kamikochi, but I could not satisfy with room although services are outstanding.
This time I tried Luminance Kamikochi where view is super!
Meals are OK for me.
Room is simple but nothing can get such super view.
They have hot spa which is not available at imperial hotel.
I want to stay once again this hotel.

上高地では一番新しいホテルで館内もお部屋もとても綺麗で快適でした。
しかも源泉かけ流し温泉があるとのことなので、ビューバス付きのお部屋にしたところ大正解！！
昼間は梓川と山を眺め、夜は星を眺めながらずっと入浴できます。
涼しい風を頬に受けながらの長湯は最高のリフレッシュでした。
滞在した日は夜にバイオリンコンサートも開催されていて、思いがけず楽しい夜となりました。
お食事はフレンチですがソムリエが選んでくれたワインとも合い、美味しかったです。
ロビーには24時間自由に利用できるドリンクサービスもあり、部屋にもポットがあるので便利でした。
河童橋やバスターミナルからは少し遠く、行き帰りは歩かなくてはなりませんが、
荷物は宅急便で送ってしまえば気にならない程度です。
他のホテルと比べるとお値段は少々高めですが、その分快適さは群を抜いています。
ホテルスタッフも丁寧で親切で良いサービスを受けることができました。
毎年上高地を訪れますが、今後は滞在先にこちらをリピートすると思います！
