Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Miyoshiya

The onsens were fantastic. Especially the outdoor onsen. What an amazing place

I enjoyed a pleasant stay in this small mountain resort at the edge of a small village/town near Tottori en route along the Sea of Japan coast. The hotel was well-maintained but is dated. It has a simple onsen bath on the rooftop (7th floor) and a nicer one a short climb up the mountain from the rooftop of the hotel which is connected by a wooden pathway with 5 flights of stairs. This means the climb may be a bit hard for people with disabilities. Both evening and morning meals were included in the single person room rate. These were both buffet styled meals so there was a good selection of Japanese and western cuisine on offer for both meals. The omelet station with a chef was where steak was offered the night before. There was also a drink bar.

Such a nice place! Very relaxing onsen. My partner and I went there for one night, the room is very nice with it's own seating area (two chairs and a table) by the window. There are yukata's by the entrance where you can pick one out and use during your visit (I totally wanted to bring one with me home, but didn't of course) There is ping-pong included, just write your name down at the time slot you want to play. Parking's included. There's also Karaoke but it cost a bit. We only had time to talk to the night staff, there was one man who was so so nice, I wish I had gotten his name to write in the reference!
