We enjoyed our stay so much we booked the same hotel for another day. Staff were very attentive, room was very comfortable, Onsen was lovely and Japanese breakfast/complimentary sparkling wine/coffee/ice cream were amazing. We had a car to drive around so location wasn’t an issue. Late night munch were close by with a noodle bus only couple of mins away. The GPS in car works well with the google map backup. It’s easy to get around. I’d come back here if I’m in the area again

We checked in at 8pm on Sep. 7th. The lady at the front desk had a piss poor attitude. There was no greeting or any sense of hospitality. Instead we got a glare like: what are you doing here? We asked for help to bring in the luggage and she pretended to not understand. Once we had everything but one luggage in then they dispensed a courier to bring in the last luggage - without any hospitality as well. I was carrying three luggage’s and the bell boy picked one up and walked off. Check in was equally horrible. At the end of it she didn’t even point us to the direction of our rooms. While this hotel is nice and clean and the person we spoke to on the phone was nice. The front desk lady should not work in hospitality.

Great place and tranquil for relaxed vacation, if you don't mind the long distance it's pretty far from city center about 20 minutes ride by taxi, very far from Shin Hakodate shinkansen station, if you're using JR train pass you may take a train from Shin hakodate station to Hakodate station then take a bus or a taxi cab to the hotel, awesome onsen, very good breakfast, if you plan to dine in the hotel make a reservation in advance do to very limited seating but you'll enjoy the dinner for sure, walking distance to The Monkey park and the beaches, nice walk next to the river, all in all an excellent place to stay away from the city hustle and bustle, highly recommended, super friendly staff, would help if you learn some Japanese language.

We were impressed with everything within the hotel. From hotel feel to breakfast and snacks corner. Everything within the hotel shows a thoughtful consideration for the patrons. Unfortunately, they do not provide any shuttle. It was no easy to get to the hotel by either tram or bus. It would have been perfect if hotel provides shuttle to train station, morning market or Red Brick buildings

Easy access by bus from Hakodate train station. However, as hotel was not visible from the main road it took us a while to locate it, after getting some help from a nearby ramen shop and a Japanese takeaway. Hotel stay was so relaxing it didn't matter that there was nothing much to do in the area (it was winter when we stayed and we did not feel confident about walking in snow/icy walkways).

Very pleased with this gem of an onsen hotel. Described on their website as a petit hotel, their 26 room establishment makes for a more quiet setting enhanced by their garden. Their wonderful onsens were open early in the morning and late at night. In spite of the language difference, all of the staff, from front desk to dining room to housekeeping, were all professional and accommodating. Everyone made you feel welcome and important. The entire hotel was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast provided a nice variety of Japanese food with a few western influenced options. In addition to the included breakfast, the hotel provides complementary coffee, sparkling wine and soft-serve ice cream from 3pm to 10pm. A wonderful way to end a long day of sightseeing after a visit to the onsen.

I love staying here. The staff was great, breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean and spacious. There was even a snack area serving yummy ice cream, coffee, and sparkling wine! It's a homey family-friendly place but hot spring area has decent space. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Bathroom inside the room was small. Plenty of eateries around the hotel but it's a good distance from main train station so we had to taxi around every time we went out.

ツインルームを利用。快適に過ごせました。部屋に置かれたコーヒーミルを使って自分で淹れるコーヒーも楽しいです。お風呂も温泉で露天風呂もあってリラックスできました。圧巻は朝食で種類が多く堪能しました。次回は連泊したい。
