Very close to Jemaa el-Fna, but tucked away enough that it is quiet. Accommodations are simple but enough for a comfortable stay. There is a mosque next door but we were never awakened by the call to prayer. In fact, it was wonderful to have breakfast or a cup of tea in the evening while watching the sun's rays on the minaret. Area feels completely safe. Lots of food and shopping options around and in any case, Jemaa el-Fna is a two minute walk away. The family arranged transportation from and to the airport and though we had organized our side trips ahead of time, they are happy to organize those as well. We had them drive us to the Yves St. Laurent gardens and back. Cannot overstate the hospitality we were shown by the family that runs the riad. Abdul was a wonderful host and went out of his way to be helpful, even walking us to a pharmacy when we needed some medicine, offering to set up an appointment with a doctor (which we did not need in the end), and checking in regularly. We spent a few hours each evening on the lovely terrace, always with a cup of fresh mint tea, and learnt a lot about Morocco from our conversations with Abdul during those hours. You can order dinner, but breakfast is included - orange juice, tea/coffee, a thin crepe and a lovely local bread with some combination of jam/honey/cheese, a fruit and a pastry. Abdul's older brother Fouad lives close by. Both were extremely helpful and warm. HIghly recommend Azalia.

Had a great stay. It's really close to Jemaa but a haven of peace amidst busy streets. Lovely staff, very helpful and made us feel really welcome. This is not a slick hotel or a "boutique" riad, it's a comfortable, welcoming riad with real character run by good people.

This is located in a quiet alley—about 1 minute from Marrakesh’s famous Jmaa al Fmaa but away from the noise and chaos. Like most riads, the rooms need updating. But the bed was great and the super hot shower was a nice surprise. Quiet and considerate staff. Habeb was wonderful. He gave helpful tips and offered to walk my mother and I to the Bahia Palace. Thank you!

We booked this place because its location. When we arrived we were told that they had our booking but they were fully booked and they didn't have a room for us. We could book it because their internet was down and their system didn't update. We were not told of this till we reached the reception of the hotel. As a solution, they put us in another hotel which was 15 minutes walk from that one in a not that good location. The second hotel were we were moved to was not even fully built and overall its quality was much lower than the hotel we have firstly booked.

As long as you go into it with the right expectations this is the best place to stay to experience Marrakech. If you want to really experience the old medina then stay in a riad like this. As long as you aren't expecting it to be like a ritzy 5 star resort than it won't let you down. The room and bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was a life saver. We had a short walk from the open courtyard Jemaa el-Fna (where there is marketplace that is bustling with activity every evening) to the Riad. The atmosphere is awesome. You will get woken up by the call to prayer each morning since there is a tower with speakers just across the street, but for me that was part of the joy of the experience. They provided a great breakfast. The berber bread was my favorite. I will stay there again if I make it back to Marrakech.

Our time here was amazing! Beautiful location, quiet and a little haven away from the busyness of the city. Mohammed and everybody at the riad were very attentive and helpful, which was just want was needed to navigate around the confusing little lanes of Marrakech. Breakfast is traditional, and we are missing it already. Highly recommended.

You get what you pay for and this Riad was an experience. There was no in room fridge or TV, the wifi internet was very good as well as the air conditioning. In our bathroom the toilet seat was cracked and the toilet was kind of broken. That soap and shampoo in the bathroom was very nice as was very Moroccan. The drain in the shower smelt of sewage as it was quite shallow and made the room smell funny. The entire room was a bit dark as there was only 1 functional light fixture. The staff was very kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable during our stay and help us immensely. Breakfast each morning was very good as it had great variety. Overall our stay was memorable and was a real Riad experience.

The riad is located right in Medina near the busy Jamma el Fnaa. It is a small riad therefore you will get personal attention and help to organise any trips should you wish to do them. In the mornings they serve excellent breakfast - hose pancakes were amazing! You can have breakfast in the terrace but you expect company of wasps. You can also have breakfast inside. Rooms are comfortable and beautiful. The area is safe. Thank you to everyone in riad who took care of us.

The Riad is located just a short walk from Jemaa el-fna square. In close proximity you have shops, cafes and food outlets. The room itself was enough to be comfortable but wasn't luxurious, however for the price paid it offered reasonable value. Mohammed the hotel manager was helpful in providing information about things we should see and do and tours could be arranged at additional cost. The wifi in the hotel was adequate.

We loved our stay at Riad Azalia. Firstly it is a couple of minutes walk from Jemma el Fna square and is very easy to find. I liked that the rooms had safes and you can lock your door (not always the case in some riads). Mohammed and the staff were lovely, friendly and and helpful. Breakfasts were typical morrocan but good and plentiful. The riad is very clean and our room was cleaned every day. The roof terrace is good for relaxing and the riad also serves drinks and food. The riad is next to a mosque so we were woken about 5.30 am every morning with the call to prayer but we felt this added to the charm of Marrakech. We were only in Marrakech forca 3 night break but we have travelled to other parts of Morocco. Mohammed advised us about the trips he could arrange and while we didn't go on any trips this time they were amazing value. We will be stating at Riad Azalia again when we return to Morroco.

I have been to Marrakech many times & this is the 5th Riad I've stayed in. It was advertised as half price, which was a fair amount for this Riad, I would not want to pay any more. I booked a room with two large beds which I didn't get, we were first offered a double, which was immediately changed to triple room with one large double and a single. We were moved into the quadruple room the next day, but still this was a large double & bunks so not what I had booked & paid for... whilst this wasn't necessarily an issue it was still frustrating not to get what I was expecting. Breakfast was very basic, just bread & pancakes, no eggs offered. Nice enough riad but needs a bit of tlc.

We basically forgot that we were stayng in Riad. The staff were super hospitable, they arranged private tours, ensured we had breakfast at whatever time, and helped us with any other needs. The Riad architecture was surprisingly fabulous, very convenient to the local square (less than 3min walk) and it was tucked away to not experience the noise of the market. The breakfast each morning was so delicious and the dinner we had there was superbly set. I would definitely stay again.
