Amadi Park Hotel

Great place. Close to trams and food.

This was is a great base for exploring the sites in Amsterdam. Close to transport links. Staff were very friendly. The only minor points are the hotel is not clearly signposted and is located in a multi use building. Also room was cold at times to air flowing through air conditioning vent. Also room decor needs slight improvement.

Hotel was well priced .convenient for the concert 8 went to at the Melweg 8 minutes walk.

Hotel was easily reached from Airport by Tram. About a 5 minute walk from 2 tram lines. Reception area is on the 4th floor, serviced by 2 lifts. Breakfast is served here but we did not have it. Room was nice but very small, typical european hotel room. Bathroom was good and clean. Trams are very close, but not so close you hear them! Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area, and a large supermarket within 5 mins walk.

I have no idea how this is rated 8.4, other than the area. There are no amenities at all. the ‘air/temp’ did not work in the room, it was so hot; and the tv was broken. these things were addressed on my 2nd day there and the staff said he would ‘talk to his manager when he came in at noon’…. Nothing. The hairdryer had some major dust on the cord; almost looked like black mold? The towels were worn. Shower gel and shampoo dispensers were broken and the quality of each was very poor. The area was wonderful, top points for that!! Also *do not buy the breakfast option through Expedia!!!!* they charged 22€/day online but the hotel only charges 14€. To be honest it’s not worth 14€, it’s granola, yogurt, bread and cheese/meats. You can easily get a full hot breakfast for way less than that in the surrounding streets.

Loved my stay here. Small unit, but had all the amenities I needed. The stocked mini fridge was a very nice touch. I’d stay here again for sure, depending on price of course.

What makes this property so great is its location - everything was walking distance. That said, the rooms are very small and the breakfast is not worth the extra money.

the service was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helpful on ensuring my stay being enjoyable. The room was clean and had a nice balcony. The linen on the bed was cleaned, but the comforter had a blood stain on it, which the staff changed it. Also, Hotel location is excellent for seeing Amsterdam

Guy at reception was polite and helpful, More like a small apparment/flat than a hotel. Water in the fridge had things floating in,no sliders/ slippers provided as described nice enough spot not too far from city, view from the window looked into the court in the middle, apart from that was good just not sure it should be a 4star

The only inconvenient that still in construction and find the front desk is "tricky" .

The hotel was clean (tiny which I don’t care). The staff were super friendly and resourceful. The location is far enough from the noisy area. At the same time accessible to groceries, bike rentals, and coffee shops.

Overall an unpleasant and extremely disappointing stay, after paying extra for a ‘better’ room. Way over-priced, having stayed in a much nicer hotel a block away for less money on the same trip. Would not stay again. Large number of issues from start to end included… - Difficult to find hotel entrance and locate reception once in the building (reception is on 4th floor and not signposted well). - Room was badly maintained - there was mould and staining on the ceiling above the bed, lots of dust everywhere, bathroom windows were smeared, bathroom sink was chipped, net curtains were dirty and the coffee cups were cracked. - TV and coffee machine did not work, aircon was unreliable. - Bedroom and bathroom were extremely dark and very badly lit, it felt oppressive. Darkened mirrors did not help. Door to Juliet balcony didn’t not open fully due to room layout. - Complicated entry and exit system relying on multiple lifts or stairwells to get around or exit the property, entry fobs required to use main entrances as well as needing room key. - After checking out and returning later to collect my luggage I waited more than 10 minutes with no-one appearing at reception. I took my luggage and left as it not in held on a locked room, meaning anyone could walk in and take your possessions unchecked.

We enjoyed our stay at Amadi Park Hotel. The staff were very helpful and suggested a great Indonesian restaurant (Kartika) around the corner for dinner on our first night which was great. Location is good, walking distance from city centre, close to museum district and the Vondelpark. The room was clean except mould on the bathroom ceiling. The climate control was faulty so would not adjust and would switch itself off if ever adjusted. I reported this but it wasn't fixed. The room was long and thin, with not much natural light due to the configuration but comfy bed and reasonable value for our 2 night stay.

THIS IS NOT ANYWHERE CLOSE TO A LUXURY PROPERTY!  The hotel description and pictures provided are incredibly misleading.  This place looks like a run-down apartment complex in person.  Although not mentioned in the Expedia description, this hotel shares a building with 2 other hotels and other businesses.  I questioned the manager on duty about the cigarette butts all over, broken down dusty furniture in the common area, and overall uncleanliness and unattractiveness and he explained that he has no control over what the other hotels / businesses are doing.  Amadi's ice machine was broken so he sent me down to another hotel's front desk where I was told they shut off their machine at 10pm when the bar closes.  Our hallway smelled of booze and urine and the rooms are tiny!  Every time I walked over to my side of the bed I bumped into the lamp because there is no room to walk!  I am disappointed both with Expedia and the hotel, as there was no due diligence in making sure this hotel is accurately advertised.  This is a 2 star establishment at best!  I am still working with Expedia on a refund because I feel seriously deceived. If I was able to upload pictures I would.

Im going to assume the 4 stars for this property was just made up. In general, this “hotel” was fine. But I’d describe it as something in between a hotel and a private room at a hostel. First room they put me in had a broken AC. The only airflow was through a 12inch door that opened up to a walkway that was accessible by anyone that had access to the building. They eventually moved me to a room with working AC after 2 nights, but not before having me try a “cooler” that turned out to be a heater. Second room did have AC but smelled like straight sewage. But with record high temps in Amsterdam, I chose the AC. Good location, but I would stay pretty much anywhere else.

Receptionists were very friendly, the room (plus the bathroom) was all clean/tidy/comfortable. The room was also more spacious than the photos. Had a very pleasant stay.
