I highly recommend this hotel. Lovely atmosphere on a wonderful beach. Tourist areas are quite close by for those that want that, but it is just on the outer edge of the main tourist area, which appeals to us. A 15 minute tram ride to the city center and the train station, so a very easy commute to explore downtown as well.

A great hotel in a perfect location. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The hotel is located in Scheveningen overlooking the beach and the North Sea. The tram and bus to take you into the city center are conveniently located right on the corner ,1 block away. The Scheveningen promenade is right at the hotel doorstep. Lots of great restaurants are within walking distance.

All the family rooms are on the 1st floor with no view of the ocean. Bunk beds have been nicely fitted out but it’s a shame they cannot offer a sea view to family’s. Our view was of a tram stop with trams stopping every 5 minutes so it wasn’t very pleasant and not what we had in mind (or anyone ) when booking a beach hotel. The hotel is not cheap so I feel this should be made clear at booking it feels like if travelling as a family you are relegated to the back of the hotel. Breakfast was nice, fresh made waffles, bacon and eggs with a nice view. Swimming pool was fine, extra charges to use the sauna though which I thought is poor form. Great location near the beach and lots of restaurants and things to do.

Fantastic hotel, great location, lovely little snug bar - just a shame that the only two lifts in the hotel are either ridiculously slow and/or out of action. Adds at least 15 mins on to any journey just to get down from any floor above 1

We stayed here in 2018 and there were a few amenities that we liked and brought us back. So we were disappointed when we discovered those amenities are no longer available. One was a mobile phone with cell data, allowing us to use google maps and make local phone calls as we travelled around the area. This was a real saving as we didn't have to buy a sim card for our own phones. Another thing we liked was the ability to buy Day Passes for the Tram at the front desk. Now, that isn't an option. The last thing was the beach chairs and windscreens that are no longer available. We didn't spend one day on the beach for this reason. A few other notes worth mentioning : there was a Laundry bag in our room and when I asked about the rates, I was told that there was a fire in the Laundry room so that service wasn't available but I could go to the laundromat down the street. They didn't say when the Laundry option would be available. I would have to say that dirty cutlery and cups were a problem every time we ate at the breakfast and even in the dining room. Should we return to Scheveningen, we won't be staying at this hotel.

I booked a partial sea view room but on first floor over looking carpark. This was not a partial sea view room by any stretch of the imagination. I had also sent an e mail to the hotel to confirm view and reception manager said noone has had time to look at e mails since before xmas and she thought this was ok. And was very rude as i am English and spoke in english but i speak perfect dutch so could understand her remarks made to her co worker Coffee machine cleaned at 9pm so no coffee available and the bar last orders 930. On new years day. Reception manager quite rude and had no customer service skills at all. When i asked why the bar closed she said staff also wanted to go home and not many people around. There was a few of us who were a bit surprised. It was a special birthday so we went back to the room. Very very disapointing stay !!

The room was newly renovated, great bed, cozy. Outside of the Hotel looks a bit dilapidated, but the inside is nice and modern. Corridors were a bit cold, also the room, but heating worked well. Bathroom was a bit small. Breakfast was great, eventhough a bit strange, that reservation is needed, especially, when overcrowding is not prevented by it. The hotel is nicely located directly at the beach with look to the sea. All in all: good hotel, nice staff, had a great stay.
