Clarion Hotel Ernst

Had a great stay. The Clarion is in a nice part of town with easy walking distance to dining and shopping. Rooms are quaint and comfortable. Staff was very friendly, and breakfast was very good.

Lovely hotel with great and firendly service. Well located. The entrance has some real old-world charm but the rooms are comforable and functional

Checked out after one day and moved to a neighbor hotel. The size of the family room was good. The room felt dirty, showering there the whole bathroom got wet. In general the hotel tries to be a "design hotel", but you so clearly feel how cheap all the design elements are.... Got a new hotel closer to the water and still enjoyed our stay in Kristiansand.

Parking was a little far away. I was not offered on site parking. We had an interior room. It would’ve been nice to have an exterior room. All that being said the room was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have a coffee maker in the room as well as a tea kettle. The buffet breakfast is outstanding probably the best we had in Norway.

Was an overnight stay with a family of 4 so hard to tell about the overall experience with such a short stay. One thing was that we needed to use the hotel parking lot. When we checked in we were told they were book. I was never told to book ahead of time and parking in another lot was a slight challenge as we were leaving for the airport at 4am.

Excellent, friendly and helpful staff, perfect location and comfy beds... loved it.😊

Nice hotel

Friendly and accommodating staff, clean hotel, great sauna and steam room. Nice bar to end the day on with a drink or bite to eat

So dissapointed with the room.so small and the bathroom is so far from what i expected😞 It is too expensive for a simple hotel.

I had a really great stay! The staff were lovely, check in was very easy, and the room was really nice. Great location (less than a 5 minute walk to the train/bus stations). Would recommend!

Very unfriendly staff I Messaged with. Not a lot of help there.

Room and furniture is ok. The only thing but very important is the air conditioner. It was very warm in the room and it was not possible to regulate. Outside hotel is a taxi station where the cars was parked with the motors on the whole night. You could smell the bad air in the room. Next time in the town I will stay in an other place.

A very pleasant and cool hotel in central Kristiansand. Family friendly, good beds. Good COVID-approach, the hand desinfectant stinks like old home brew, though😌 We will definitely come back.

Generally the hotel was good with a very Clean and comfortable room. The staff was also friendly and hard working. My only complaint is that residents were allowed to go to the buffet and serve themselves. They did have a separate buffet were someone was safely serving you. I did ask one of the workers who has mentioned that they used to serve people and not let them touch the buffet but the government had dropped that requirement and therefore they didn’t feel the need to serve people. I simply do not feel that a proud hotel manager should do the “bare minimum” to protect the residents!

Fint rom, og ypperlig reinhold. Aircondition virket ikke, så det ble litt varmere på rommet om natta en vi skulle ønske. Frokosten var rikholdig og deilig på alle måter.

Hotellet ligger fint til. Resepsjon og rom er stilige og ville godt mottatt. Strålende frokost med enormt utvalg. Hyggelig bar. Rommet er ikke stort, men pent. Behagelig seng med store hotellputer. Vannkjele, safe, bra WIFI og kjøleskap. Veldig bra dusj. Så hvorfor ikke topp score - vel Djevelen er i detaljene: * lyset på badet går på automatisk så dersom du må opp midt på natten blir du lys våken enten du vil eller ikke * det er kaffe/teposer men ikke sukker eller melk. Det var suketter første dagen, men det ble ikke fylt på * temperaturregulering fungerte ikke selv om vi fulgte instruksjonene fra resepsjonen. Ble en svett natt spesielt når vinduet ikke kan åpnes * ett lags toalettpapir virker i kjipeste laget * store flasker med såpe i dusjen, men litt trist når du oppdager at shampooflasken er tom etter at du har puttet hode under dusjen Vi hadde det bra, men med litt mer fokus på detaljer hadde dette blitt supert

Vi hadde et fint opphold, kun et døgn, i et fint ærverdig hotell. Bra renhold, god frokost.
