Rooms were compact but still clean and equipped with necessities. Walking distance to station, opera house, Akershus fortress. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of hot and cold dishes and after a day of walking around Oslo we found the included dinner buffet was great. It was good basic home cooked food, usually a hot dish and vegetables, and a good assortment of salads. Given the price of food in Oslo this hotel offers a good deal with breakfast and dinner included, and even an afternoon sweet treat!

the property was great. it was well appointed. they offered both breakfast and a nice buffet supper. we had one of the larger rooms which was perfect. the staff was helpful and very nice. I recommend this hotel.

First impressions very negative, dirty carpets, chipped walls poor lighting inadequate lift. However the room was spotless, with microscopic bathroom .good breakfast , quite generous but uninspiring evening dinner More suited to business stay, but really close to cruise terminal.

Great hotel, central location, close to Central Station and Opera House. Comfy room, though small. Great choice at breakfast. Having dinner included was a huge bonus and made the Bastion excellent value

The room was not what I expected as I needed a desk for a meeting it was a strange layout with a step down from entrance and wardrobe was stuck in behind. A bit squishy

We knew there was a free breakfast but didn't realize that free suppers were also available. Wow!! The location was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.
