I moved to The Capital Melrose after four nights in a more uoscale hotel, and I was very pleased by The Capital Melrose's value for the price. Looks like a really well run hotel, as the facilities were immaculate, the room had useful basic amenities, and best of all, the staff were wonderfully warm. I would stay here again!

It was clean and neat. The room was big but sparse. Service was friendly and the food was nice. TV was limited and for R1700 a night I would have expected more. There was nothing exceptional that made it different from a less expensive option.

Stayed a couple of nights. It was a good stay, clean property including gym. Pool is small and thin and by the dinning area only thing I dislike. Overall great service. Was able to uber/bolt from there and food service was easy. Must eat there atleast once it’s delicious.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful except arranging airport shuttles. Twice they were ordered ahead of time and twice they never showed up and our entire group of 16 had to scramble for an alternative. We probably will not use this property again because of this issue and that there is an expense to use an airport shuttle if it does show up.

We hardly slept due to parties Rooms next door until 3 in the morning! Nobody from the staff dared to stop the noses, because, according to the front desk it was… « friday »!!

Firstly, the staff: awesome! Friendly, professional, welcoming. The room I stayed in was small but comfortable; then again, the rate I paid was reflected in this. BUT: the room next door had a balcony and those occupants would stand there and smoke, discoursing loudly. The smoke would waft into my room while their voices were intrusive. Also, the restaurant does not have surfaces that absorb sound and any laughter or so is, to say the least, LOUD! But, the food is good, the location brilliant, the parking secure.
