The staff were fabulous. We were sitting in the bar and observed a large queue forming at reception. One of the waiting staff promptly arrived with a complimentary glass of wine and apologised for the wait. What a lovely touch and a great way to diffuse what could potentially be a fraught situation.

Hotel was clean, nice river view room. However, two of the three lifts were not working allied to the fact the hotel was very busy with guests, you either had to wait a good 30mins to get onto a lift or use the stairs. We were on the 11th floor!

One night stay to attend a concert at the Armadillo.Had room on floor 7 which was reasonably tidy and clean , but, is showing signs of wear and a general need of renovation and upgrade in room, bathroom and corridors. This is a regular stay at this property as we attend the Jools Holland concert at the Clyde Auditorium (Armadillo) each year about same date(s) and a regular issue is the long queues to check-in , mainly caused by faults in the lifts with one / two out of action and “back of house “ lifts not able to take more than 2-3 passengers which , as I said , has happened previously . Another issue is the quick access corridor to the Armadillo , giving a direct entry without going outside , which I asked about at check- in and was told it was open , but, later when we went to go through that way , it wasn’t open as promised. Hotel seems to see the patrons attending their Xmas party nights as more important than their other paying clients. Love the location , and the hotel is ideal for our regular trips to Armadillo / Hydro , but, may look at alternatives for next visit due to general deterioration in standards at the property

I’ve stayed here a lot when going to OVO hydro and this I felt it was too busy!! Rooms were ok but noticed last stain on carpet next to bed that hadn’t been cleaned properly. Bar was as really busy before the concert and bar staff struggled to cope. Breakfast was the same. Really busy with massive queues and not enough tables in restaurant.

Very good service from hotel staff throughout, room was partial river view not the front view I thought we’d have, beds and pillows really uncomfortable. Lots of late night noise from guests which woke us a couple of times early hours in the morning, and doors make a loud slam noise when closing behind you. Stayed in a few crown plaza hotels around the uk this was my least favourite and if returning to Glasgow I would not stay here again. Also the lifts were awful with only one in operation most of the time for a huge hotel.

Tried to change the date, due to unforseen circumstances, but the extra £95 cost made it unacceptable. Not good I'm afraid, I will not be using this hotel group again

Unless you want to spend most of your stay waiting on a lift, best to avoid

We were welcomed by mohammed , he was very happy and welcoming and shared a few funny jokes. We had booked as it was my daughter and i joint birthday break and we got 2 complimentary drinks which went down a treat. Hotel was clean, and our room was fantastic. The view was over the river and it was lovely to look out onto 😊 We booked dinner, bed & breakfast and we couldnt fault anything. Food was amazing. We couldnt fit in our pudding and our server boxed it up and gave it to us to take to our room. All the staff from the reception, bar and restaurant were very helpful. Cleaning staff very welcoming and polite.

The colleagues are helpful, courteous and friendly. The food both in the evening and at breakfast was good. Plenty of onsite parking. Good size comfy room. Improvements 1. Ensure all the lifts are operational as there were long waits and queues to use the one small lift that was working. 2. Update the aircon controls in the room to a more modern type. Other than that it was a comfortable stay. Will stay again.

Great stay. Excellent staff, nice clean room with very large TV. Lovely hot jacuzzi and steam room, pool good temperature too. Slightly noisy air con/heating in room and shame about the £12 parking charge, otherwise great.

We enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza, great location, very friendly staff. The room was a good size. The only thing I would say could be better was the pillows... unless you like a super firm pillow!

Was a nice stay, however when checking out was charged double the price for a meal we had the night before, on saying that it was to expensive the receptionist checked and kept saying SHE, me had said the bill was incorrect on checking which took a while, the mistake was realised and then charges to the correct amount taken. My point being receipt was rude, and not very apologetic?
