This is my first experience with Virgin Hotels. I must say, it exceeded my expectation in every way. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a church suite room which was incredibly spacious, super comfortable and well appointed. I was particularly impressed with the eco friendly lighting and climate control experience. The unique branding and artwork is very apparent and appealing. I would highly recommend Virgin and this Edinburgh location was ideal.

Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and efficient.Breakfast was excellent with a great choice. Only negative was lack of sleep due too the noise from the pub/night club that our room faced onto. Definitely avoid these rooms if possible or take some ear plugs!

As an Expedia Silver member and Expedia VIP at this hotel, I received nothing extra. I even messaged them before what extra I could receive. Very nice hotel, staff is very friendly and responsive, and in a very good location. But... don't get the room with the terrace. There are only four and they are ground level on the other side of the hotel. So bad, you have to go to level three then walk all the way around, then down stairs to ground level to get to your room, not worth it. Avoid rooms 147-150.

First time at a virgin property, surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It’s upscale without being stuffy and the staff go above to make your stay pleasant. We utilized the umbrellas at the entrance on a drizzly afternoon and found them a great offering. We also had a night cap at the commons club every night. The bar staff were welcoming and I enjoyed the elderflower forward special menu of the month. Would stay again.

Whilst a lovely hotel very modern, but the rooms are very small, essentially the bathroom and dressing room is the hallway entrance. Felt all very enclosed you could get more room in a travel lodge. So very disappointing, especially for the price. Also the modern technology for heating etc had to be reset twice. Also we were kept awake by the nightclub music until gone 2am.

The “Virgin” brand means the hotel can charge extra. Checking in was not pleasant. Too many people. Too small a space. Otherwise our stay was fine. Great decor. Good location.

Parking was remote and cost $65 a night. But porter took and retrieved the car for me. The staff was great
