ibis Zurich Messe-Airport

The only most disappointing hotel during my vacation in Europe this time. The location is hard to find and many local people don't know. They only know Ibis budget which is close to the airport. The location is behind the local television station, but the access is different. The receptionist didn't smile at all. When greeted, they answered, they weren't the ones who greeted the guests first, and when asked, they answered without knowing, even though the Ibis Hotel has international standards. We arrived in the morning at 10xx and asked for early check-in with an additional fee according to the terms, it couldn't be done. Had to wait until 14.00, even though the hotel was quite quiet. Either there were still guests or there was a special rule. The room with twin beds was very small. The room was cramped and it was difficult to spread out the suitcase. There were no drinking utensils such as glasses/cups for guests to drink. The class is below Ibis Budget with a more expensive price.

Holiday Inn Zurich - Messe, an IHG Hotel

We booked a queen bed room but ended with twin beds room. Toiletries are not provided and need to ask from front desk where many items are not prepared (lucky that we kept the toothbrush kit from our previous stays from another hotel in Paris), could not also get them from housekeeping where their active hours are 09:00-17:00 (period where we are not in room but touring the city). Etc.

Courtyard by Marriott Zurich North

Very nice place. The room is very comfortable. Check in very fast, the reception is very kind. I recommend this hotel when in Zurich. Not far from the train station and tram.

Visionapartments Zurich Binzmühlestrasse 50

Noisy noisy noisy noisy! Didn't even sleep 2days staying. We got the basement room, the windows are facing the streets. Couldn't close the windows because that was the only way to get air. Unbearable noises! Never ever consider this place!

Hotel Sternen Oerlikon

Nicely located nearby train and tram station. It ' s a bit far from the center but it has everything you need: grocery, restaurant, etc. The single room is nice but since hotel located right in front of tram rail, it can gets a bit noisy especially if you're a light sleeper.
