Great view of the lake, large and comfortable room, good breakfast. But is it so detrimental to the hotel's financial statement if they have a bootle of water in the room for their guests? A bootle of water guys.

We stayed one night here while travelling through Switzerland. We received great service from the nice young lady at the counter. She offered us free parking just outside the hotel. The room was nice with a balcony overlooking the lake. The wifi and shower was good. There was no ceiling fan or laundry facilities as shown in the room listings. The lack of a fan made the room pretty hot as the temperature was about 37 degrees. The restaurant downstairs was closed but we were directed to a bar across the road which served nice pizza. Overall, it was a very nice stay but we did think it was expensive compared to other EU hotels.

Good location - at bus stop, across of boat stop and information office. Room had view of lake and balcony. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked very nice. Very quiet in mid-September. Room very pleasant, bathroom had been redone. No one at desk most of time. We had to seek them out in the restaurant. Information office directed us to a great walk - shuttle (weekends only in the fall) to cable car, cable car to top, 5 mile level walk with beautiful views, rack railway down, boat back.

We arrived to the hotel via train & bus with a one-night booking and dinner reservations upon our arrival time. The hotel was closed with lights off and no one in sight. We had to call multiple times to get anyone to answer, and finally, we had someone answer and share that they had an issue with the fire alarm so they had to shut down. When we spoke to someone in town, they told us they shut down every year at this time so it is normal for them to be closed. We booked this hotel months in advance, so they should've known they would be closed and informed us months in advance. We then were stranded in the cold with our two young daughters, both under 5, and the closest available hotel was 2.5 hours away via a private taxi, train and bus. We would've easily found new accommodation months prior if they would've kindly shared that they would be closed at this time of year. I would not recommend this property to anyone given the risk of being stranded without accommodation.

A run down Swiss tourist hotel with terrible facilities and lousy service. Not owned by Swiss. Avoid at all costs.

Excellent service and amenities. The only improvement needed is putting a kettle in the room as well as brighter lights for the room.

Misleading location if you're not well-versed with Switzerland's geography. Parking spots may get full, then you're on your own. The hotel doesn't care enough to find you a spot (even though they say they provide parking spots). Don't expect anything in the name of service.

Omg such rude staff. Could not ask a question without an attitude. The manager is obnoxious like he’s doing you a favor. Waitress slammed the food on the table saying she was done working for the day. Bathroom and kitchen were left dirty after house keeping and did not make the beds. I was shocked.

Arrived at 11pm. I had called ahead to confirm this would be ok. When we arrived there isn’t a reception at the hotel, so wandered round looking for staff. Parking was free, on a side street next to the hotel. The staff were very nice, and let us buy something to drink, but since it was so late, unfortunately there wasn’t any food available. (Our fault for getting lost!) The room was nice and clean, and very spacious. There was a fan in the room, a fridge, with a small freezer compartment, and a coffee pod machine. We slept very well. The view across the lake from the balcony was stunning to wake up to! The breakfast was very nice- buffet style. There wasn’t anyone available for check out, so we just put the key back in the room pigeon hole.

The staff was great very friendly. The view from the room was like a movie set off the charts. Did I mention the staff was great very warm big smiles thanks for a great stay. It is also a good place to stay as a base camp for day trips to Zurich , lucerne and lichtenstein all are a short drive away. I would stay again in a heart beat. The breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

This was a nice hotel with very friendly helpful staff. The shower was great, room clean in general (carpets heavily trafficked but clean), and bathroom spotless. Not luxury accommodations, but a comfortable place to return to after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast included was exceptional and again great staff. American friendly (even if not entirely English speaking). Only misrepresentation was parking; nine spots for entire hotel, so if you're out "late" may be on your own for parking. All things considered we'd suggest it to friends or stay again ourselves!

We loved this hotel - the view was outstanding and the room has all the comforts you need. There are several nice restaurants nearby so you can just relax. The only strange thing is there is no one at the desk when we arrived but that was easily taken care of by using the phone on the front desk. WiFi was sketchy...but hey...we were not there for that. The breakfast was great with a variety of choices.

We arrived at the Seehotel on our way to our chalet in Wengen. It is a lovely, sleepy little town on a stunningly beautiful lake. The hotel staff were very nice - warning - they do not speak English, but if you have German or French it is very useful. The hotel is expensive, on par with all hotels in Switzerland - but we had two rather large rooms for two adults and two teenagers - and a nice bathroom and a balcony. The breakfast was included and it was wonderful - typical Swiss - cold meats and cheese, quark, yogurt, fruit, breads, coffee, boiled eggs - very nice. It was just across the street from the lake, very convenient to the ships that will take you all over the lake if you have a Swiss Rail pass.

The picture of the hotel is deceiving... this hotel is actually just the two story structure you see in front of the larger building. The view was nice, but not as nice as it would have been if we could have been a few stories higher. Also, at night it was hard to fully appreciate the view because of the neon lighting from the steakhouse across the street. We did not have a great experience at this hotel. It was nice to get off the beaten path a little bit... but this hotel is not the best. It's only saving grace is that breakfast was decent, though it is only offered between the hours of 8 & 10. We were worried after we saw the state of the hotel that breakfast would be terrible, but it wasn't. There was a ton of mold on the bathroom ceiling which was just gross. Also, there are no toiletries provided other than soap dispensers at the bathroom sink and the shower. The towels were threadbare. The carpet was not in the best of shape. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable. Switzerland is expensive... but this hotel was WAY overpriced for what you get.
